Chinese Kopitiam

Atmosphere: 4🌟 You need to find a table first and take note of the number. When you order from stalls, let them know. It's comfy with air conditioning but during lunch time it's packed but the pricing of food is still Kopitiam price. There's also outdoor seating. Can use the e-wallet payment method. Most stalls will be closing / sold out by 1:30 to 2pm.

Morning/Afternoon stalls

[Changed Seller] Food: Char Kuey Teow & Mee 3.5 🌟 Thin soft type Kuey Teow and the taste is pretty good. Priced at Rm 9. Next time I probably should try stir fried dong fun (glass noodle), a rare item.

Food: Prawn Noodles 3.75 🌟 It tastes good, quite a lot of ingredients including these pork skin like stuff which isn't too hard. I really like the soup as it is flavourful yet not too salty. Too bad it doesn't have dry version like the one at Hakka Delights. Priced at Rm 10

Drinks: Loh Hon Goh 3.5 🌟 Can be a bit sweet but has a strong taste.

Evening/Night stalls (Only about 4-5+ open for night)

Food: Grilled Chicken Chop 3.5🌟 Egg 3.75🌟, Mushroom Sauce 3.5🌟, Bun 3.25 🌟, Coleslaw 2.25🌟, Chicken 3.5🌟 Customised to replace fries with fried egg and ordered extra slice of chicken Chop. Went with mushroom sauce instead of black pepper which is flavourful but not too salty and even comes with pieces of mushrooms. The bun is lightly buttered, soft and the egg is nicely done with egg white still a bit soft and egg yolk is runny. Also has a hot dog (normal) and coleslaw which is quite fresh but not well flavoured. The chicken Chop seems 30% bigger than usual and nicely charred but probably slightly overcooked but still good. Priced at Rm 24.

Food: Mixed Grilled 3.75🌟 Mushroom Sauce 3.5🌟, Bun 3.25 🌟, Coleslaw 2.5🌟, Fries 3🌟,Chicken 3.75🌟, Mutton 3.75🌟, Pork 3.25🌟 Coleslaw is wet and on the sour side, not very fragrant but still feels kinda fresh. Thick fries are not crispy/mostly kinda soft but a huge portion. All the meat portion are big, smallest is pork chop which is decent but doesn't seems to have much extra marinated flavour. Lamb is nicely done; tender, not too chewy and not fatty. Chicken is also well done, slightly charred. Priced at Rm 28

Food: Pan Mee (Soup) 3.25🌟 Broth 3.5🌟, Noodle 3.25🌟, Egg 3.75🌟 Thick Pan Mee ordered Large Dry but got Normal Soup. Actually the order came very late as the Lady Boss forgot about my order so please expect and be prepared in advance but she is very friendly and nice. She compensated me with Choc Banana Cake with Ice Cream which taste pleasant and not very sweet. The broth feels homely, the noodle texture is okay and the Egg is most outstanding (similar iike Onsen egg). Priced at Rm 10.50 (with add on egg)

Food: Grilled Chicken Pasta Add Noodles with Mushroom sauce. Priced at Rm 16.00

Drinks: Teh C (Cold) 3.25🌟 Went for a "Kosong" version, tea flavour is stronger and slightly bitter and has a mild milk taste. Quite a lot of ice though, priced at Rm 4.10

Drinks: Ais Kosong (Cold). Priced at Rm 1 for small glass which is above average prices for Kopitiam

Drinks: Chinese Tea (Cold) Finally they made this available. Priced at Rm 1 (small glass). Rm 1.5 (packet big) likely the most expensive ever I've seen.

Drinks: Teh Ais 1.0🌟 Taste is so so but 60-70% Ice 😔. I can only say beverage stall here is horrendous. Priced at Rm 4.70 which...

This eatery has slowly crept upward in our ranking of favourite eateries. Great tasting food at affordable prices is the criteria.

For dinner, we have tried the Fried Rice and Hokkien Bee Hoon, these were very good. Tasty with the rice and noodles just about adequately charred.

For breakfast and lunch, CKT was quite good ifncooked by the uncle. Prawn Noodles was quite good too. Strong aroma wafted from the bowls of Prawn Noodles we ordered. The taste didn't disappoint. Consistency however could be an issue.

Mushroom sauce Chee Cheong Fun was above average. The sauce had a blend of umami, sweet and sour flavour. A little too salty during the initial tries, it seemed to have improved. We didn't really like it in the beginning, it's better now. Price was reasonable at RM 6.50.

Sweet Soup was quite good with strong coconut flavour. It would have been very good if it was not too sweet. Could be awesome. Just too sweet for us. The same stall served Kaya Puff and Curry Puff too. They have a different take on Kaya Puff , it was deep fried instead of baked. We braved ourselves and tried one. It was disappointingly greasy and sweet. We avoided this item after which. The Curry Puff was quite good though.

SKC Pork Noodles seemed to have a problem with consistency too. Big difference between good and bad. It was good the first time and it was awful the second time.

Shredded Chicken Hor Fun was very good without consistency problem so far. Fish head noodles was good, we preferred the non-dairy version which had a strong rice wine aroma.

Beverages were quite good. Toasted bread with butter and kaya was no longer good enough. Too little spread with too much bread.

The place was comfortable enough. Parking was not really a problem for us as this place was next to the big parking area.

It has become one of our...

First time visiting Sunny Food Republic Sri Petaling. It happened when I drove by Sri Petaling but was stuck in heavy traffic flow and intended to find a good place to dine in for dinner. Therefore I pull over to the road side parking and walk into the Restaurant. I wonder why so many people are patiently waiting Luckily I managed to find a table and started ordering food. I ordered Hokkien and Cantonese Noodle and added a side dish of fried chicken.(Believe me it is good). Meanwhile when I was wondering there was a beautiful Thai girl who approached me and gave me a very polite greeting and I was very impressed with her politeness and noticed she was selling Thai Pork Rice and I did order. (The dish is good and aromatic authentic which is worth a try and shall reorder next visit. I did order Satay (It is tasty but what you need is patiently waiting) Lastly I ordered the Curry Chinese Curry Chicken ( the curry is Aromatic and Fabulous)

It is recommended to visit this Restaurant but it is a little bit packed and crowded. Food tastes and drinks...

Been going to this place almost every Saturday I’m around this area. The drinks are expensive for kopitiam standard, but okay la maybe justified since it’s air-conditioned and the place is quite clean and often got empty seats (I usually come around 10.30-11.30am on Saturdays). But the main reason I write this review is because the shredded chicken noodle (gai si hor fun) damn nice lol. It’s one of the better ones of kopitiam standard, heck sometimes maybe better than specialized one. Quite similar to what I usually get in Ipoh (the good ones la). Also worth eating is the HK-style Chee Cheong fun. The sauce a bit too salty for me sometimes but the noodle itself is nice. Chinese aunty makes one. One stall I’ll try to avoid is the stall that sells mainland China food, as a fan I’ve tried this few times different menu a bit so so leh.
