I visited this outlet during the weekend of the Winter Solstice after seeing they were open until 2 AM. We drove a long way specifically to try their Tang Yuan, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from start to finish.
Upon arrival, the queue was disorganised, with no proper directions or guidance from staff. Despite the confusion, we managed to figure things out on our own. However, when it was time to order, we were told that dine-in was no longer allowed—this was at 8:30 PM, far from closing time. It felt like customers were being turned away without much consideration.
To make matters worse, the Tang Yuan we came for was already out of stock. Left with limited options, we ordered something else just to salvage the visit. After placing our order, we waited patiently, only to discover that the order had been ready for some time, yet no one bothered to inform us. This lack of communication left us feeling frustrated and neglected.
It’s clear this place is popular, especially on weekends, but that’s no excuse for poor service. Please improve your operations—better crowd management, proper training for staff, and more respect for your customers would go a long way. Customers should not feel insignificant just because the business is thriving. Unfortunately, this will be our first and last visit. A truly...
Read moreA nice dessert shop which still operates til late night, highly suitable for those who suddenly crave for supper especially sweet soup.
They offer variety range of sweet soup (tong Shui) with very nice kuih dessert, local delicacies and many seasonal dishes as well.
Tried their Ginger Soup Rice ball, the rice ball indeed up to standard, not easily melt, still a solid bite, however the Ginger Soup were too bland and lack of kick from the ginger taste.
Bubur Chacha was the best so far, rich in ingredients and loads of chewiness in every bite. Highly recommended.
Longan Fungus on the other hand was considered as good, just not sweet enough (U can ask for more sugar syrup manually) overall it is riched with ingredients and worth to try.
Their kuih talam and the other kuih which I duno how to pronounce(please refer back to the photos) was also very nice.
Overall this is indeed a nice spot and during my visit there are quite a lot of leng luisss 😍as well so, will try...
Read moreCame in around 9pm. Ordered Red Bean soup, Barley Fu Chuk and kuih talam.
They put up a notice on the table notifying customers that their desserts are made with less sugar and guess what..?; they weren't that sweet - which is what we were looking for. Kudos to the establishment for making desserts (tong sui) the healthier version.
However, we wished that the tong sui were served hot. It was served less than luke warm.
Love the kuih talam. Freshly made, and the coconut portion was nicely seasoned.
Parking was a bit hassle. Shop wasn't crowded at the time we arrived. So it was pleasant. 😉
Will I return? Probably. I would definitely get them to reheat my tong sui...
