On 23rd Jan, we (family of 5) went to Mcd Bukit Bintang for dinner. While my dad was ordering food, we went upstairs to look for table. We picked a 6 seater as others are either 4 seater or high tables (not suitable for elderly). However The 6 seater was full of trash leftover by previous customer. There was a cleaning lady nearby, I politely asked her to help us clean our table, she said "duduk dulu. Nanti". After 5 minutes, the cleaner doesn't seem to come so my mother went to remind her. She ignored our request while giving my mum an unpleasant look. My mum told her we've been waiting for more than 5 minutes and the food will be sent up very soon. She continued to ignore us and proceed cleaning tables on the other side which had no one waiting.
My mum tried to stop her, she yelled "saya belum habis sini". We told her we'll file a complaint, she shouted "pergilah! pergi! saya tak takut pun!". My mum held the tray to stop her, she pulled harshly, 2 cups of leftover drinks spilled on my mum's hand and pants. There's no tissue or cloth nearby so my mum wanted to use her apron to wipe her hand, she punched harshly on my mum's left upper arm, causing a bruise mark. Another staff member happened to come up and helped us clean the table whilst the food just arrived.
We've been patronising Mcd for almost 30 years and this is the 1st unpleasant encounter ever. Worst deal, it was supposed to be my mum's birthday celebration. Even worse, this Mcd is your flagship store situated at the golden triangle full of tourists. This incident will punish McDonald's reputation which we've been trying...
Read moreMcDonald’s Bukit Bintang is arguably one of the most visited McDonald’s outlets in Malaysia, strategically located at 120‑120A Jalan Bukit Bintang, just below the iconic neon-lit pedestrian crossing opposite major malls and the MRT station . Open 24/7, it caters to everyone from early-morning commuters to late-night snack seekers
Inside, you'll find modern self-order kiosks and upstairs seating with power outlets and city views—particularly framed by the zebra crossing and bustling street scene below . Locals and tourists appreciate that you can pay with international cards, making it convenient when you're traveling
Food quality is typically consistent: burgers and fries serve the basic standard. Local favorites like Ayam Goreng McD and Bubur Ayam McDonalds are worth trying for that uniquely Malaysian twist on McD classics
. Pricing is competitive—many report meals around RM 12 per person
That said, the outlet gets extremely busy, especially during weekends and evenings. This can lead to delays, order mistakes, and occasionally poor customer service, especially during peak hours . One guest recounts waiting over two hours and receiving minimal staff attention upon complaint
. Others have reported cold or incorrect orders, and cleanliness issues in dining and restroom areas
In summary, McDonald’s Bukit Bintang is a convenient, central choice for quick bites or a casual sit-down amid KL’s vibrant scene. The location, local menu twists, and 24-hour access are definite pluses. But be prepared for crowds—and occasional service hiccups—particularly...
Read moreDuring the late nights, they turn off the self serve machines for some ridiculous reason and a horde of people line up for that 1 cashier on duty to experience some incompetence. Placed an order with nuggets, but he didn’t ask which sauce I wanted. So logically, I assumed the other chaps would ask me and kindly provide it when handing me my order.
Nope! Apparently the lovely cashier put chilly sauce on my receipt that I didn’t ask for, nor wanted. I asked for my sweet and sour sauce that I’m entitled to, but they said “no, you ordered chilly”. I didn’t. After some back and forth and some primitive theatrics, they reluctantly got the sauce, but not to give, instead to call the all the managers over and said I would have to pay for it. The homeboy digs through my food with his filthy hands that I personally witnessed touching his runny nose, scratching his head, and touching every surface behind that counter.
And upon checking my order, there were no chilly sauce in the bag as they claimed I apparently ordered. Of course not. Shocker.
This is why I always order on the machine and never had this kind of issue. Now, normally I don’t like people losing their jobs, but here is a prime example of dead weight. Rude, unhygienic, incompetent and inefficient all around. It’s a matter of time before all this will be automated. Less wage expenses automatically translates to higher profits for corporate, and ultimately the...
