Melting Pot Cafe — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

This is another nostalgic historical buffet line for me. Unlike any other hotel buffet in KL, I frequented Concorde KL's Melting Pot in the 90s when I frequented Hard Rock Cafe KL. It was the place we met friends before we go into HRC and if we have some money we will go have some buffet food. Usually we will be eating the after midnight buffet which can be from dim sum to mee goreng to cucur udang.

When we start working we come here for Ramadhan buffet and sahur. We came for the World Cup big screen. For gatherings. For Sunday tea.

A buffet breakfast. Selection of western, chinese style, malay and indian cuisine. Selection of pastry and bread( change daily), daily change of type of dimsum, nasi lemak with options of sambal ikan bilis, sotong or eat with rendang (lamb/chicken). Nasi lemak rice is light with a hint of the coconut taste and fragrance, sambal is non spicy. The rendang is flavorful. Kids have option prata, plain/ chicken porridge or cereals or muffins, danish pastry etc. They also served hot chicken soup which is super good( you can add bihun or noodles). I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the breakfast buffet at Melting Pot in Concorde Hotel KL, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations!
