Traditional Peking duck served with sauce, spring onions, and wrapped in pancakes. Personally I really like the taste of this dish. The skin of the duck was crispy, and there's the right amount of fats in the duck. Meat wasn't overcooked and those pieces that I ate was rather tender. The taste of sliced spring onions are quite strong, but if you love the taste then this is definitely a plus point. You'll be asked if you want the servers to cut and wrap the ducks for you, or to so it yourself. We opted for them to wrap for us since I guess they should know the proportions better.
Stir-fry vegetables with macadamia nuts (no photo). I quite like the overall taste of this dish. However the macadamia nuts are hard and I think it's quite difficult to bite; take note if you're ordering for the elderly.
Yam ring with chicken(?) and cashews. Typical Chinese dish - I like the soft, mushy texture of the yam ring. The meat pieces tastes normal, no "wow" factors.
Seafood and beancurd in claypot. I like the taste of this dish. We did not order any rice and this wasn't too salty to be eaten by itself. There's sea cucumber and scallops in the dish. Typical, and nice.
"Sang har" prawn noodles. This, to me, was below average. My piece of prawn was rather mushy. Noodles are overly salty. Was expecting this to be one of the best dishes ordered, but really, it isn't. Maybe the chef wasn't in good mood tonight ... 😂
Overall I think the food wasn't the best, but still a nice choice if you're looking for somewhere "atas" and with nice service. Gotta give it to the servers as they did well in their services.
Plus point: This place had Chinese birthday paus which they served if you're celebrating birthdays here. Not sure if it's charge to my bill though 😂, but I think it's nice especially if it makes the elderly happy. 😊👍🏻
PS. Do let them know if you're a Shangri-la Circle member, and you'll get some discounts off the bill.
Parking was RM15 (entered the premises around 7pm), should be charged per entry.
Will give 4 stars for the good service, pretty decorations, and the fact that this dinner is...

I came during lunch and ordered the lunch set menu. It's quite well designed and comes quite complete with good choices and variety for a good meal.
The shrimp in the shrimp dumpling was fresh, and so was the cod in the black skin dumpling. Both came steaming hot and flavoured lightly. I think their skin is a little too thick though but that's a personal preference. The yam puff however had a delicious crunchy skin with generous salty filling.
I enjoyed their soup greatly. It was hot and it was flavour packed. It wasn't too salty and I didn't get the post msg thirst. Next came the vegetables. Beautifully sautéed, fresh crunch of the vegetable stalk, good balance of goji berry sweetness and underlying oyster sauce (I think) made for a good dish.
As far as carb is concerned, you are served a well fried minimally oily noodle with a super generous amount of squid, large prawn and scallop. This was a beautifully cooked dish. The meal ended with a mango ice cream concoction. I found it pretty average and couldn't figure out the pomegranate and corn flakes role in it. I felt it made the dessert unneededly complex where a simple one would've suffice. Again this is a personal choice.
In short it was a well thought out menu. I loved it for its use of just adequate light flavouring which doesn't overwhelm your palate and the amount was just right, doesn't leave you excessively...

They have only one goal: get you out of the restaurant as fast as possible past 21h00 and they use all the old tricks to make you feel you’re not welcome anymore and you should leave asap: constantly go back and forth, loudly clear tables around, loudly set tables for the next morning , start a staff meeting right behind you, literally stand one meter behind you doing absolutely nothing just praying you ask for the bill, going back and forth to the backstage area carrying empty old cupboard boxes, etc, etc … This is a disaster. They should all be fired because they seemed to have been working in this place for a very very long time (too long?) and won’t come back to the hospitality spirit anymore. But of course, the outlet manager is the first one on the list.
I really thought they would put the chairs on the table and start vacuum at some point. They did not, I guess we got lucky.
The coffee shop next door, O’coffee club, could send his team to train them: they would learn about professionalism, genuine care and smile.
And food was cold…
Anyway, even with the 50% discount from mobile app Eatigo, I would strongly suggest to...
