I recently visited for dinner with my family. It’s a place my parents enjoy, but this particular outlet left us with a somewhat mixed experience.
We ordered a selection of starters to share, along with one main, and requested for everything to be served together. Unfortunately, the food took a while to arrive and, when it did, it was cold. While the taste was decent, it would have been much better if everything had been served hot, as you’d expect when dishes are timed properly in the kitchen. Had I known the starters would be held back until the main course was ready, I would have asked for them to be served once ready. Overall, the food was still good, just not ideal in terms of timing and temperature.
Service was okay. There seemed to be plenty of staff, but not all were actively engaged, so I’m assuming they each have specific stations or duties to manage. That said, I do think there’s room for improvement in service standards. One staff member, Martin (or Matt, I was told), stood out in a positive way. He was consistently attentive, friendly, and bubbly—taking orders, clearing tables, and making sure customers were taken care of. He’s still young and has plenty of room to grow, but I hope the management recognizes his potential and continues to mentor him. Other staff could certainly learn from his dedication.
The live band was a nice touch; both singers had great voices. However, I found the female singer tended to drag her words a bit, which made some of the lyrics hard to catch.
All in all, it was an enjoyable experience, and I’d be happy to return. With some improvements in both FOH and BOH operations, I think this location could offer an even better...
Read moreI sat down and the first thing I noticed is how bright and loud it is. If you love being in the spotlight and rock and roll music. This is the PERFECT spot for you. They played one of the most iconic rock songs "Uprising" by Muse whilst I ordered a BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger for my main and a Strawberry Basil Lemonade, which in total costs a whopping RM99.
The Strawberry Basil Lemonade has been my favourite drink forever and it hasn't and will not change. You can taste the strong flavour of the basil combined with the strawberry. If you like something in your drink to keep your mouth busy, SBL has bits and wholes of strawberry too! Trust me that once you get a taste of it, you'll be hooked for life. Today's strawberry however, was a bit on the sour side but it's alright.
My family and I also ordered a plate of wings to share. It was crispy, tangy and all the way pizazz. It was a little bit spicy, depending on your spice tolerance level. But good overall.
The burger arrived and i am astonished at how big it is. The bun was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Grilled to a perfect texture. The beef angus patty was quite juicy and made a perfect combo with the grilled shallots. The steak barbeque sauce on the side was alright. Fries were crispy and golden brown. In my opinion, it was very worth the price.
Now onto the negative side of each review. As I said the beef patty was juicy but it was also quite dry in a way. I ordered a medium well for my patty but I was given a medium.
Overall, I think it's a great place if you enjoy rock...
Read moreI can't remember when was the last time I went to Hard Rock Cafe in KL. But I vaguely remember that it was a surprise birthday dinner organised by the other half without my knowledge. I think that it must be more than 10 years ago.
Long story short, I made reservation to dine at Hard Rock Cafe in the evening because I wanted to relive the memory and to enjoy the live band performing.
◾Jumbo combo RM92 - collection of Hard Rock Cafe's popular appetisers including Signature Wings (we opted for the fiery heavy metal), onion rings, tupello chicken tenders, Southwest spring rolls and potato skins (stuffed with cheese & turkey ham bits) . Served with honey mustard, hickory BBQ sauce, sour cream and blue cheese dressing. True to its name, it was big enough to share among 4-6 people at least so we didn't order any mains anymore. ◾they have kids meal which comes with a glass of drinks - they chose Mac & Cheese, Hotdog and grilled chicken breast respectively. ◾It was still happy hour and we ordered two glasses of house pouring red & white to go with our food.
We couldn't last too long for the night - the live band started performing around 9.30pm and we could only listen to a few songs before deciding to call it a night. Perhaps the age had caught up with us and we got tired easily... Lol!! Nonetheless, the hospitality of Hard Rock Cafe lives up...
