We came here again, and this time it was for a Family Iftar. As usual, Daniel was in charge of ordering all the foods, and that also meant he had to underwrite finishing all the leftovers! Which he obviously took pleasure in doing...

Eidlan was having fun and playing with the udon, which he held up high before putting it in his mouth. And he was also trying hard to teach me some japanese words...such high level of confidence he has...

Again, all thanks to Najwa, who picked up the tab again, nonchalantly after just getting her annual bonus...Thanks Èdu, we all love you!!

We were looking for a nice restaurant to celebrate Amir's birthday, and we couldnt get any reservations, as it was nearly around Christmas time, and most places were fully booked. Fortunately, Najwa finally managed to secure a table for our party of 8 at this japanese restaurant...

Apparently, Najwa & Atiq are quite regular patrons at this place, and had even brought Daniel here on a few occasions. But this was the first visit for me and my wife, Amir, Etty & Eiden. Hence, Daniel was again given the honor to place the orders, as he had personally tried almost all the dishes on offer. And in huge quantities too! They serve the buffet ala carte style here, and I was not so familiar with this system at first. And not being a connoisseur of japanese foods, I was not very familiar with the dishes either. So, my wife and I, we basically just ate whatever Daniel and Najwa ordered and placed in front of us!!

Daniel immediately requested for the EBI Tempura for us to try, as it looked relatively safe. We chowed down these fried prawns without any hassle, and the soy sauce was of great help. They tasted deliciously crisp and fresh. For himself, Daniel asked for the Salmon Strips and a huge bowl of fresh Salmon Sashimi, which was served on ice. I was a bit apprehensive to try it, but Daniel had reassured me by the way he walloped those pink slices into his mouth, with two at a time!!

Najwa and Atiq were enjoying these shannanigans of Daniel, as they were already used to his antics. Najwa recommended us to try those Grilled Beef and Lamb, to be taken together with the Salmon Fried Rice. I thought that was a brilliant combination, and so did my wife. These turned out to be our favorites eventually... By the time Amir, Etty & Eiden arrived, we already knew what to order more of, and what not to. So, they could just enjoy the dishes made available to them..how convenient!!

The staffs definitely deserve a lot of compliments, as they were very attentive to our orders, and were very quick to deliver as well. That being the case, our whole dinner experience turned out to be very enjoyable and memorable. Then it was time to bring out the birthday cake for Amir, and all the staffs sang the birthday song along with us.

Before we left, Amir & I went to tour the rear portion of the restaurant, only to find a much bigger and nicer ambiance for dinning. All the while we were just occupying the front portion, without realizing that they do have private rooms for bigger groups to utilize. Well, maybe we could book one of those for our next...

Been planning for a birthday treat for myself . Went on 26/6/2025 dinner time. My slot supposed to be at 8.30pm but i was running late due to massive traffic nearby bukit bintang. Manage to inform them via whatsapp number provided. They said it’s okay but just to remind 9.15 is the last order. I said okay. Manage to enter the restaurant i think around 8.50pm. Attended by a manager i supposed (tall, chinese guy, wearing spectacle) but he said the buffet was almost closed and suggest me for an ala carte menu instead. Then i told him i supposed your last order is 9.15pm and it’s only me - 1pax. Then he said okay fine. With a grumpy face and reminded me abt your wastage rules which is rm15 per 100g. I said okay then. I was seated and the waiter come quite fast. I knew what i want to order cz ive been planning since evening for this. So i order in one shot. Few minutes later, i heard the same guy was behind me saying “she ordered? Just sent one shot all item. I said but she doesn’t listen” - similar to that. Which immediately ruined my mood. This is my first experience to your restaurant and for my birthday treat, alone. Maybe i came in too late i guess? I said to myself until.. i saw few groups and tables still place their orders for additional food. Buffet is supposed to be premade. Why make it so harsh to customer?? Then my food came, all good. I couldn’t finish few ebi fry cz it’s too oily and the batter quite thick. Around 9.30-9.40 i Went up to pay. In front of me around 2 person. 1 for group and 1 for couple taple. And third was me solo. They paid accordingly until my turn. The manager sat beside the cashier look at me, and suddenly went up. Sort of like looking at my table to see any food wastage left? I was like- what is this attutide you are serving me? Is it bcz im a girl? Alone ? Or malay?? If you are saying your staff is being meticulous on his job, then why he did not do so for the tables in front of me. All of then just tap the card, paid and left. Im hoping it will be a good short peaceful dinner tho it is last minute. But all is ruined bcz one staff behavious. So sad. Maybe i should try another...

An ala carte buffet worth paying for (on the quantity rather than the quality) with impressive service.

For those who are confused with the definition, it means : You are given a list of dishes you can choose and order from, and they will serve it to your table.

So there's no arrays of sashimi and sushi, but feel free to order to your heart content from the menu - but do keep in mind there's a charge of RM15 for every 100g of wasted food.

Now for my personal experience.

I initially wanted to try my luck on reservation for dinner on that very day I called (which was around 4.30pm - even though they are supposed to be closed between lunch and dinner time, the staff still picked up my call), however, they were already fully booked. So I enquired on seatings for 7 adults for lunch on the next day, to which I was informed that they will have to reconfirm with me by 8-9pm if there's any booking cancelled. I had doubted that they would be playing the active role of getting back to me on the reservation status, but they actually did - sharp at 8pm, called me to inform that they had reserved a table for me. Splendid.

Food reviews:

Choices and variety is sufficient. It's not amazing, but you can find most dishes you would typically order in a Japanese restaurant.

Sashimi are fresh and is ordered by number of slices (yes, each small slices). So don't be shy to order like 20 slices of sake. The tataki however, are served by plate (a plate has 5 slices of choice of tuna or butter fish).

Sushi and rolls are okay.

Their grilled salmon and saba, are slightly on the drier side as they used thin slices. Other grilled seafood are otherwise succulent.

Tempuras, a little tad oily and heavy batter.

And their salads, are worth mentioning.

It would be wise to order your grilled or fried dishes first as they take longer to prepare.

There is no time limitations regardless of the time you came, but lunch time is capped at 3pm, with last order at 2.30pm, and dinner I believe is until...

Splendid. Food reviews: Choices and variety is sufficient. There is no time limitations regardless of the time you came, but lunch time is capped at 3pm, with last order at 2.30pm, and dinner I believe is until 9pm? Overall: a good try.
