I don’t understand why this restaurant has such high ratings. The food was absolute disappointment. It was a disgrace to Thai food. Any Thai who went there would be traumatized, no joke. Hear me out.
Although the presentation of food was good, we had to think twice about the taste. For example, my (used to be) favorite dish, the fried omelette, it was too oily. The moment you take a bite out of it, all that you taste would be the oil oozing all over your taste buds. Moreover, it was also soggy and your mouth would feel like there were gallons of oil swirling around. Another example was the Tom yum soup- way too much lemon grass slices. The whole soup floating mostly with the lemon grass with fair amount of chicken pieces.
Not to mention the Pad Thai that we ordered (goodness). It was undercooked and the texture was chewy and hard. Might as well eat mochi my friend. My jaw hurts from chewing the noodles. We asked the waiter to get the noodles to cook a little longer, but to no avail. It was still chewy like rubber.
The only decent food was the stir fry broccoli. Not too hard, not too soft, just right. There was a good garlicky taste to it. 7/10
Thai Milk Tea was too sweet. Requested for less sweet and they added water. Ended up the tea taste was diluted.
Overall, this restaurant did not serve authentic Thai food. Please do not have high expectations when you eat at Para Thai. Definitely an overrated restaurant. Left the restaurant devastated. I would have given a negative star review if the...

Located in the luxurious Pavilion Mall, this restaurant offers a cozy and upscale dining experience that’s perfect for any occasion, whether it’s a casual lunch or a special dinner.
The menu is extensive, featuring all the Thai favorites such as Tom Yum Goong, Green Curry, Pad Thai, and Mango Sticky Rice. The flavors are rich and authentic, with just the right balance of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy. The Tom Yum Soup is a standout—spicy, tangy, and packed with fresh seafood. Another must-try is the Pandan Chicken, which is tender and infused with aromatic flavors.
The ambiance is elegant yet inviting, with warm lighting and traditional Thai decor that sets the mood for a great dining experience. The service is impeccable, with staff being attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu.
While prices are slightly higher due to the prime location, the quality of the food, presentation, and overall experience make it worth every penny.

Read moreGreat food presentation looks but comes with great disappointment in taste. We were so excited to and dine in this place, with the queue and crowd and all. And we were amazed on how far the food was served. Unfortunately it may not be our day as the food taste was way below our expectations and ended up with disappointment. Green curry doesn’t taste like authentic green curry taste, Tom yum came with the sweet taste instead of spicy and sour, vegetables was ok and the egg omelette was acceptable. Thai Milk Tea was not as flavourful as it should be. At the end we were not keen to finish up the dishes and it ended up as a waste. Note to chefs, taste is equivalent as food presentation. Both comes in hand in hand. We can understand the level of busy but taste should not be compromised. As we are regular Thai cuisine lovers, we can differentiate the taste of it easily. Service level is considered as ignorant type of service level. Don’t call us after we have served you. This was what we felt. It was not understaff for the service crew but it’s more on the mentality of the service mindset. Way for improvements especially your branch is in Pavilion and your average meal price is above average. Thank you for your hard work too. But don’t put...
