Honestly as a picky eater, i don’t often make raving reviews but this place definitely deserves a LOT OF LOVE! Food is so good like so so good. Beef is tender and cooked to perfection. if you order the steak (i ordered the saikoro steak) fyi you can switch the fries to rice iykyk. Does the place seem a bit empty / dead? Yes, but that’s lalaport for you but what really matter is, is the food good?!! And the answer is YESSS! The price charged was definitely lower than the quality of food we had gotten, but bottomline is the food is so good!!! Also, service is good, the Japanese lady was very attentive, if you didn’t get what you wanted you just need to communicate what you wanted - like chopsticks rather than silverware, change fries to rice bla bla. Downside - menu is limited but that’s when you know it’s good, means they know what they’re good at! It’s better than a jack of all trades but master of none, cause they definitely mastered the Saikoro steak and Nikujaga. Thanks for reading my rambling, will come back again!

We visited this place for lunch on a weekday, and apart from us, only one other table was occupied. Intrigued by the Set Lunch offer, we decided to give it a try. Service was prompt due to the restaurant being nearly empty. However, the restaurant was rather warm and stuffy. We opted for the Nikujaga and Yakiniku set. Unfortunately, both sets were just average in taste, and the portions were rather small. It was supposed to be a Japanese set lunch, but they served the rice on a plate with a spoon and fork, instead of in a bowl with chopsticks. At the storefront, there was only one staff member who kept shouting to the kitchen staff. It seemed odd, as it would be simpler to walk to the kitchen and talk to them directly rather than yelling across the room with customers right in front. Moreover, none of the staff, including kitchen staff wore gloves or masks, which was concerning.

It was a late afternoon when we made up our mind to walk into this restaurant, that was relatively quiet around the corner. The overall ambience was very Japanese and clean, but during my visit the place was clearly low on manpower, with one staff handling all the tables. Even though our first choice of cut was sold out, there was absolutely zero regret in getting the medium rare tenderloin, perfectly seasoned and juices just oozes from the succulent meat. The miso soup was fairly remarkable, being capable to hold on its own even when compare to the steak. Overall the price point is on slightly higher end, but the entire gastronomic experience is worth every penny you spend.

My friend and I had the lunch specials as advertised on their banner. I ordered the noodles with fried chicken. When it arrived there were no visible signs of the fried chicken. I asked the waitress and she said they decided to chopped the chicken into small pieces as per their feedback that the pieces of chicken were too big to bite. Upon checking there were no bite size pieces of chicken but what looks like breaded crumbs. I told the waitress and she had a look and said she would tell the chef and bring me some chicken. It didn't happen. Anyway I put it down to a bad choice I made and would never stepped in to the restaurant again. My companion had the prawn dish which he was disappointed as it was over fried but at least it resembles the...
