Ordered takeaway Hokkien Mee, Cantonese Kuey Teow and Seafood Fried Rice to eat at home with family. I expect the food to have reasonably good standard as I had eaten their food many times even though the last time I ate their food was more than 1-2 years ago. To my shocking surprise, the Hokkien Mee was terrible and the most disappointing one, as there was no meat, fish cake and prawn, but only vegetables, cheap local mushroom, taupok and even one small broccoli (first time ever seeing broccoli in Hokkien Mee), and the taste was really wrong for a dish which is their Main Selling Dish as a "Hokkien Mee Restaurant". Called the restaurant and the guy who picked up the phone said the staff must have given me wrongly the vegetarian version and asked me to bring it over to exchange. I told him it is not possible as we had eaten it and I won't purposely drive all the way back to the restaurant. The staff didn't offer any other solution, but just said sorry and ended the call. The Seafood Fried Rice was too dry and my kid refused to eat, and it has more vegetables than seafood. The only food that is still OK is the Cantonese Kuew Teow, even though the standard has also dropped comparing to last time. The only thing on the UP side is the price, which has increased and it costs RM49.50 for these 3 packs of food. Won't buy from this...

Service is also almost to none. Resorted to getting our own menu despite several reminding. We have already decided what to have and ready to order but waiter insists we should wait while he attends to several other tables which are still deciding/ looking through the menu. This i totally don't get it.
The wait time for the food was decent (despite the crowd) but the hokkien mee which is supposed to be the signature (as per shop's name) was lackluster. It was flat, lack of wokhei and not flavourful. Not sure if kitchen was rushing due to the crowd but it was a waste of carbo quota.
The stir fried vegetable (dragon chives) and signature fried bean curd fared better.
Despite several reminding (again) for the bill, we were made to wait again to the point we have decided to head directly to the cashier. They couldn't locate our bill and insisted to look for it through the pile (including the pile which have already been paid). Tried to speed things up by recapping what we had but cashier still insist on going through the of paid receipts.
It may be an popular shop in their hey days but they seriously have to buck up...

Our family (9 adults & 3 children) went SENTUL AH YAP HOKKIEN MEE & SEAFOOD RESTAURANT for dinner, hoping for a pleasant evening. The total bill came up to over RM566.30 (incl taxes), which we wouldn’t have minded if the food had lived up to expectations.
Unfortunately, it did not.
We ordered a mix of dishes: • Dry Chili Chicken . Sotong fried • Japanese Beancurd • Kailan with Garlic • Siakap Asam Pedas (Size M) – RM110 - The taste & size of the fish are not worth the price. • Fish Fillet Steam with Ginger (Size M) – RM120 - The taste & size of the fish are not worth the price. • Fried Egg • Hokkien Mee (for 1 pax) • Chinese Tea
The food was just average at best, with nothing standing out in terms of taste, quality, or presentation. For the price we paid, the experience felt very underwhelming. It certainly did not justify the high cost.
Needless to say, we regret going and will not return. We also can not recommend this place to others. There are far better options around with more reasonable pricing and better food quality.
