The foods here is acceptable , can’t said very nice , is only Normal and acceptable. The price is crazy high charge . We came with 10 persons , the fish understand that is follow KG price, and charge us RM 130 for Nyoyam steam and RM 108 for normal steam, is acceptable. But others foods is not reasonable price , kampung chicken is not fresh and charge us RM50 for half chicken , and vegetables ā€œsu miao ā€œ is over salt and charge us RM 45. Very simple Taufu charge RM 50 (portion is not big, is Japan taufu, not own made taufu) , and the ēŒŖå¤§č‚  which recommended by the staff is not fresh and like few slim piece of fry skin of pig and charge RM 40. Salt egg sotong charge Rm 50, and Cha xiu RM 50 also. All Foods portion is like middle size only. Important is feel not honest for this restaurant, that day 10 persons , 2 ordered Coca-Cola, others all drink å”čŒ¶ļ¼Œis bring by us, only order hot water , but the bill charge us about RM 20 . After I checked bill and go to ask , they still return RM 10 to me, but never have a word of apology to us. If you no check bill, you will just paid and leave . Feel like this is normal case . And this restaurant no air cond and not provide any service but charge us service charge 10% , why I said ā€œno service is provideā€ , everything we need walk to take ourself , the staffs there very busy still forget to pass us Rice , and never help us refill of water for us, we own go to refill hot water. I don’t know why alots ppl commended food nice , alots place foods is nicer than this place and lower price with air cond also. They wrong charge and not reasonable price charge , we not argue and just paid and leave , but we are very sure will no go there again. If commend can give 0 star, I will not to give 1 star.

Not my first time eating here but this time I’m impressed by the food ! It’s nearby where I work but rarely come to mind during meal times. It’s off the main road and not visible to traffic. But once you are inside, the place is busy with people during meal times and that’s certainly testament to its good food ! It was just lunch for two pax and we ordered three dishes - steamed river Patin fish, clay pot vegetables & crystal char siew. The Patin fish was steamed to perfection, just nice and not over cooked. Char siew was perfect, just the right amount of sweetness with the right kind of belly meat that’s nice texture between lean meat & fatty meat. Clay pot vegetable brings out the best of the vegetables! Will certainly return with more people to try out their other signature dishes. One more positive to add is that despite its wooden kampung setting in an off side location, it has nice toilet facilities that’s clean ! Parking is aplenty and is free ! Most importantly we find the prices very reasonable. We visited recently during CNY 2025 and found the dishes less impressive compared to earlier visits. It was lunch time and there wasn’t a big crowd. Only the char siew was consistently tasty. The rest of the dishes was ok & adequate only.

Dining at Siu Siu Restaurant feels like stepping into a classic Malaysian dai chow spot where familiar comfort dishes shine. This round, we ordered the White Cut Chicken, Curry Mixed Vegetables, Stir-Fried Greens, Char Siu, and Fried Tofu—and the meal delivered on several fronts. Let’s talk about the Char Siu—it was easily the star of the night. Perfectly caramelized, with just the right balance of smoky sweetness and that sticky, charred edge everyone craves. If you come here and skip this, you’re missing out. It’s spectacular. Another highlight: the Mixed Vegetables with Curry. Every visit, this dish is non-negotiable. A true crowd-pleaser that pairs perfectly with white rice. The White Cut Chicken was decent—tender and smooth, served with ginger paste and soy sauce. Classic, but it didn’t quite steal the show. The Stir-Fried Vegetables and Fried Tofu with Minced Meat were reliable sides, well-executed but playing supporting roles to the heavier hitters on the table. Siu Siu thrives on its consistency and nostalgic flavors. While not every dish is groundbreaking, the Char Siu and Curry Vege elevate the experience. Perfect for family dinners or entertaining friends who crave a taste of traditional KL-style dai chow.

Went there with my family. We are not usually the kind who would leave a review unless it was either exceptional or horrible. Unfortunately, it was the latter in this case in respect of the crabs we ordered. They were not fresh at all and there were so little crab meat (some parts look like the whole chunk of meat was missing). The texture was also mushy, like they have been dead for a few days before they were cooked. It was very disappointing because they were not cheap. But the biggest disappointment was how the owner and staff handled the situation. We had informed the staff earlier about the crabs but she insisted that all their crabs are fresh. Later, when we informed the owner, she said that because we didn’t send the dish back, she deems it as acceptable. We told her repeatedly that we informed her staff, but she insisted that we should have said, ā€œwe want to send the dish backā€. We honestly could not believe that she expects customers to say those exact words and then and only then, will they acknowledge that the food is not satisfactory. In the end, she did offer a very small discount on the dish. But it barely made up for the extremely disappointing experience.

We are not writing this review out of spite, but thought it was important to inform those who are unhappy with any dish they order in this restaurant to specifically say that they ā€œwant to send the dish backā€. This is in hope that no one needs to go through the experience we did!

The other dishes we ordered (char siew...
