I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding the food quality at the recent arangetram event held on August 20, 2023. As an attendee, I had looked forward to both enjoying the performance and savoring the reputed Annalakshmi's food. Unfortunately, my experience was nothing short of a letdown.
The food served was of shockingly poor quality. The Fried Bee Hoon was practically inedible; after just one bite, I was forced to discard it in the rubbish bin. Even worse was the Nasi Lemak, which tasted as if it had been prepared days in advance. The sambal's sourness was outright unpleasant, and my 9-year-old daughter, who is not known for her picky eating, even questioned what kind of food was being served.
This kind of subpar culinary offering not only marred the event but left a lasting negative impression on me and my family. We had expected an enjoyable experience on this special day, but your restaurant's food arrangement managed to completely overshadow the beauty of the event.
I urge you to take this feedback seriously. Such a well-established restaurant should be ashamed to have provided such dismal fare at an important occasion. It's my hope that you will take immediate steps to address these issues and ensure that no future attendee has to endure such a disappointing experience.
In the absence of a prompt resolution and an appropriate response to rectify this matter, it's only fair that the organizer request a refund for the money spent on the restaurant's services. I believe that a restaurant of your reputation should stand behind the quality of the food it serves, especially at events of cultural significance like the arangetram.
I trust that you will take this matter seriously and take appropriate action to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future. I eagerly await your response regarding the steps you plan to take to address...
Read moreRegrettably, my recent visit was at Annalakshmi restaurant was totally disappointing , which made us decide not to visit again which lacks respect for customers and professionalism . We went for lunch buffet, and about to finish our food , during whole period we were holding and keeping our 1 year boy, at last he was annoyed and just walking around, taken care by her sister. One of the staff named Krishnan was so rude asking to control our 1 year child in a very rude manner and he was continuously standing on our head and arguing so much that spoiled our whole lunch efforts. He was expecting a toddler to sit in a place without moving. I told him, we about to finish we will go out, but this staff Krishnan was worst than any child, don't know what ego made him arguing with me and my wife for discipline and other teachings. On top of that another staff member sitting at the counter instead of controlling their staff, don't want to listen to anything and argue with us favoring his own staff. They were treating as if they were running free service without any charge. They should have mentioned this in their page or somewhere near the entrance, “ KIDS SHOULD REMAIN IN THE CHAIR”. I would have never visited to this type of restaurant in the first place if I knew about this earlier. This restaurant where staff doesn't have understanding and most importantly doing unnecessary arguments with customers with arrogance not welcoming for customers at...
Read moreThis place had been my usual spot to for weekend meal for the past 10 years.. Take note: buffet had been allocated to weekend (fri-sun) LUNCH now due to the pandemic.. I called up a day before visit to ensure that there is no on-going events or fully booked. (you should do so to avoid disappointment) They are always friendly and welcoming. We visited on 28/3/2021 Sunday lunch. Food is really good, nothing to complain about.. The standard doesn't change for 10 years and ambient is very relaxing too.. But what is disappointed is that we didn't get to enjoy much of our lunch.. My plates, cutleries and unfinished drinks (my favourite chai masala) were quickly cleared up when I went to the washroom. The waiter actually told me that there were people waiting in the line and wanted us to surrender the tables.. By courtesy of course we agreed to, although I had not really finished.. (Missed out on the dessert - which is the best part and my drinks) But as we proceed to make payment, I saw quite a few of tables were empty and there wasn't anyone queueing to enter.. Maybe later on, there might be crowd, but my whole dining experience for this time was in a rush - less than 30mins.. I not too sure why the hurry as I had confirmed the status a day before..
But I am still willing to give this place another chance next time~ Let's hope this doesn't happen to me again.. (Ratings will be changed later should my next...
