Having been living near KL all my life, it takes a Penang friend to introduce this old bakery to me. We were given some 'sugar free' mooncakes by this Penang friend....First time trying this kind of mooncakes. I quite like them, healthy and taste of natural sweetness. You won't like them if you are a 'sweet tooth' person. Then you can try their 'low sugar' ones which are just as good. You'll be spoilt on the many varieties of traditional mooncakes offering there. There are also different types of snowskin mooncakes of the normal size as the traditional ones. I came with my oversea friend from Europe and southeast asia. To let them try local chinese culture - a mooncake festival food called mooncake.

Those are freshly bake, the factory and shop just next to one another. There isnt any testing available. I bought plenty from them and get them to help cut it so we can taste the mooncake on the spot.

Certain flavours are offering discount. They do have sugarless items too. The boss said this is halal mooncake. We like pork lard mooncake else where too.

I so wanted to give it a higher rating but this year’s mooncakes have all disappointed me. I bought several boxes of regular mooncakes as well as no sugar ones and they have all deteriorated in quality compared to last year. Sad to say they were very bland and the mooncake skins were pale & tasteless. The elderly ladies at the shop were, as usual, spectacular- super friendly...
