Sushi Quebey is a relatively new omakase-style Japanese restaurant located within the Pan Pacific Hotel. It's a charming and bright space with a cozy, intimate setting, featuring just 8-10 seats at the chef's counter.
Food The menu offers 5 distinct omakase set options, each varying in the number of dishes included. We opted for the Ajisai set, which featured an appetizer, sashimi, nigiri sushi, several wagyu preparations, uni hand roll, and dessert. Every dish we sampled was incredibly delicious and impeccably fresh. The sushi and nigiri, expertly curated for the omakase experience, were simply magnificent. The fish pieces were fresh and generous. I especially enjoyed the nigiri, particularly the tuna with foie gras, the scallop, and the lightly smoked jackfish. The wagyu katsu was incredibly tender and juicy, as one would expect from this premium cut of meat. The uni hand roll, boasting an ample portion of uni, was very tasty. The uni was of exceptional quality, creamy and devoid of any undesirable iodine or metallic flavors. We also thoroughly enjoyed the dessert: a sweet melon and refreshing sorbet, the perfect finale to an outstanding meal.
Service The service was outstanding. The chef took a genuine interest in our experience, ensuring we were enjoying each dish and sharing details about the upcoming dishes. While a slight language barrier existed, the overall experience was excellent, leaving us completely satisfied.
Conclusion This was an exceptional omakase experience, exceeding expectations in terms of quality. The value offered far outweighed the price. Sushi Quebey is a truly remarkable establishment, and I highly recommend it. It's rare to find a place where quality surpasses the cost, especially in today's dining landscape. Reservations are strongly recommended due to the...

This was an incredible meal — you could tell that Chef Ken put thought into creating a perfect combination of flavours in every bite. Each dish was masterfully put together and it really blew us away. This was the best omakase we’ve had, and the best meal of the year. Given the quality and heart you feel from Chef’s food, the RM179 starting price for omakase is well worth it. This is a hidden gem for sure.
Chef Ken is a wonderful host, funny, and kind (in that he accommodates all sorts of dietary preferences ) too! That in itself made the meal a fun experience, and we felt really welcome.
