One of my worst life experiences, without a doubt.
My partner and I initially booked a two-month stay on Airbnb to work nearby Bukit Bintang. However, upon our arrival, we were shocked by the state of the residence. The photos and videos didn’t reflect reality at all. Instead of a brand-new, sparkling place, we discovered an old, damp, and moldy location with water damage and moldy walls. Moreover, cleanliness was far from satisfactory, with dirt marks everywhere, stains on the bed, and sticky surfaces. We were told not to walk inside with shoes, but the floor was as dirty as the street.
The real nightmare began when we noticed an infestation of cockroaches and other insects, confirming the unhygienic conditions. We even had to request clean sheets to cover the couch due to unacceptable stains. The hosts provided us with a cockroach control product, which turned out to be ineffective.
We accepted the hosts’ offer for a deep cleaning, but upon our return, nothing had changed. The two cleaning agents did not do a proper job, and the problems persisted. We ended up buying cleaning products and cleaning the dirt left behind by previous tenants, demonstrating that the agents’ work was unsatisfactory.
To top it all off, the bathroom was a nightmare, with sewage backups occurring twice in two days, accompanied by feces, used toilet paper, and even more cockroaches.
After this traumatizing bathroom incident, we decided to leave the next day. We found refuge in the neighboring residence, AXON, which was a breath of fresh air. This time, hygiene standards were upheld, and the conditions were significantly better.
Despite these issues, there were a few positive points: the security guards were very kind, and the hosts were highly responsive. However, this did not compensate for the overall...
Read moreStay in unit B131 through booking.com. The unit was infested with dust mites, cockroaches and no private pool. Nothing positive to say about this place. Prepare to be disappointed. Book at your own risk. You could do better in KL. I've reviewed a lot of accommodations and in a lot of countries/continents. This is the worst one I have experiences by far! The bedrooms were infested with dust mites (that should've enough, but there is more). Myself and my family have bite marks. Pictures below. We booked for 3 nights and stayed only 1 night and left so early to stay in a hotel. Top of shelves were thick with dust and the curtains too. Woke up in the middle of the night scratching. Had to sleep on the couch because the beds were infested. Cockroaches in the kitchen too. This is an old building with the hallway smelling moldy. The elevator makes funny sounds. The area is noisy and the windows are thin and not double-pane, so noisy. Furniture peeling. No private pool as written. The description is misleading. Its a small pool on the second building. Security guards in the building were mean. Made my family wait outside the lobby at 2 AM until I picked them up (with kids). You will not get a refund if you...
Read moreResponsive landlord, fantastic location
Stayed here for a couple of nights and had relatively average expectations given how much it cost compared to similar places around the area.
The instructions you get after booking a place is standard fare for key pickup, directions to the unit and parking space is ample at all times. Our parking card had to be reserved separately and it wasn't immediately available as a result, but PIC Vincent had a sound backup and was immediately responsive.
The swimming pool was clean, simple and spacious enough, although an outdoor accessible toilet would be handy. The amenities were adequate and although we experienced several stuck door and bathroom flow issues, PIC Vincent once again settled the problem without hassle.
Several convenient stores, as well as malls were within walking distance and our day had a great time accessing them, even if it meant being under the sun occasionally. Bila-bila mrt across the street is a gem for cravings you can cook within the unit and w...
