Coffee Education center plus Cafe

I do not go down to city centre that often. Whenever I go, I'd go to familiar places to dine. I had just taken my bowl of sam kan chong at the famous Win Heng Seng kopitiam in Jalan Imbi. The hot weather wasn't helping and the fact that they make lousy kopi made the home minister craving for a cup of coffee.

I fast hand fast leg pulled out my phone to search for a cafe nearby. Found Q Cup Cafe less than 300 metres away (yay!) and quickly drove there. Lady luck was on my side as a car was pulling out as I arrived.

Apart from cafe, I noticed that they are also a teaching lab for barista-to-be which explains the young team manning the counter. We were the only ones in the quiet, neat and clean cafe.

◾Flat white was nicely done with enough power without being too milky. ◾Kombucha was my choice as I didn't want anything with caffeine.

They have many coffee bean selections and multiple ways to enjoy them, be it regular black or milk-based espresso.. even pour over single origin coffee if you're...

Coffee: Hands down best in town and our favorite spot whenever where're in KL. Service: 10/10 Atmosphere: 10/10 Comfort: 5/10 they seriously need to change the chairs. They are very sturdy and can withstand a nuclear explosion, but they are too uncomfortable. I like the couch but they should get ready of the table.. it's just too big for the space and makes sitting there cumbersome and uncomfortable. Location: 10/10 speaking as a tourist that don't look for a parking spot. However, if you have a car, it will be too difficult to find one. Food: before covid they had amazing sandwiches. But I think now they are just ok and not worth the price tag.

The staff there are amazing and the owners (Mr & Mrs Yu) are very friendly and a joy to talk to.

So, five stars is based purely on coffee quality and owener's...

Interior design was cozy and elaborate and drinks menu was diverse and impressive. I ordered an Einspanner and single origin hot chocolate - female staff member did not know what an Einspanner was along with some of the other new menu items. Coffee used was incredible and fruity, but the use of mock cream was certainly a choice... Hot chocolate was amazing. Bagels took 30 min+ to come out but bun was soft and bagels were amazing. Male barista was incredibly well-informed and could answer lots of questions, but female staff were sitting down the entire time and texting/chatting while tables were left unclean for the entire time I was there - new customers had to sit at dirty tables. Not sure what their role was... Anyway, great food and coffee but service was...
