Tatto — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

This Italian restaurant is situated in the heart of KL. A little hard to find. The interior of the restaurant is really pretty. Gives me a whiskey bar vibe. I was here for a Christmas party hosted by my company. Food was good and they had a good selection of wine as well. Temperature of the food could be better as some was served almost cold . Vegetarian pizza was yummy. Nothing much to comment. The pumpkin soup was too runny and watery and very bland . The prawn dish was super with the prawn being very fresh. The cod fish was soft like butter, a must try ! Salmon ceviche was perfect with just the right amount of saltiness. The tiramisu dessert was a disappointment though. Not sure why was there a soggy biscuit in it and there cream on top was tasteless , just like a plain whipped cream. Discovered this place by accident. Came during weekday and realised that they have a lunch special for RM45+ for a 3 course meal. Service was attentive and warm. Started off with some warm toasted bread with olive and vinegar dips which was a nice touch. Both the entrees were nice. For the main, I really enjoyed their wood fire pizza, with the right amount of topping and the right crispiness to the crust. The lamb was a little bit of a letdown, as it tasted more like meat slices you would find in kebab, and the potato mash tasted like it’s made of the powdered version. Dessert was a slice of banana bread, which I kinda wish it could have been something more Italian, like a gelato / tiramisu of some sort, but considering the really affordable price point, it’s acceptable for what it is. Try to come here and u’ll be amazed about how warm and friendly everyone is there. It’s a place you can mingle in with strangers or just enjoying the drinks/foods there. We really love their caesar salad 🥗, pasta also never goes wrong ❤️

The ambience is warm yet classy The foods are always great 😍 The service is top notch The other customers there r lovely The owner & crews are super cool! It’s another level of hospitality, it feels like ur friends/family. Yenti (as one of the owners n manager) she knows every her customers very well, share her stories n often drinks with u too! She has a special vibe to blend in with everyone. A very humble fun lady so as all her crews there.
