Veggies World Cafe — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

We recently visited this vegetarian restaurant and ordered seven dishes. To be honest, the food was just okay. However, one dish stood out, but not in a good way—the tofu. It was absolutely terrible. Imagine biting into tofu with zero flavor, despite all the toppings you could see on it. It was pure, bland tofu taste. There was no saltiness, no sweetness, no real flavor at all. I have no idea what they were trying to cook, but I definitely do not recommend anyone order that dish. As for the other dishes, they were decent enough. The portions were quite suitable for a family meal, with enough to go around. The prices were reasonable, and the environment and service were pretty standard too. Overall, if I had to sum up the experience, it would be that everything was fine except for that awful tofu dish. Seriously, stay away from it. Located in an almost hidden street between streets in the bustling town of Sri Petaling, this Chinese vegetarian restaurant is truly a gem.

I readily find that the dishes here are both affordable and delicious. I have brought friends here on multiple occasions and they all enjoyed the food. Service is as expected, it is hard to find flaw with their friendly demeanor and homely charm. Service speed is about average.

I can say that by far this is my most favorite Chinese vegetarian restaurant.

However, in the spirit of full disclosure, I also had a bad experience once a few years ago. I had a delicious dinner here but then experienced a bout of food poisoning the next day. To be fair, the other members of my party did not experience the same, so it might have been only something I ate specifically.

We have order Grab food from this restaurant and thought it’s worth to try out the place. Very good service and food is actually good (from my very little vegetarian food experience). Price is on the cheaper side which probably explains the crowd. Unfortunately, while dining, I saw 2 cockroaches and the owner or manager stamp on one of them and drag it across it floor while me and another table with confused looking kids look on.
