Ho Ho Steamboat Restaurant — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

The steamboat restaurant has been in existence in Sri Petaling for as long as I can remember and it is strategically located at a corner lot next to the Police Station.

We ordered a steamboat dinner for 2 persons which was quite enough for our of family of 3 adults who can eat reasonably well.

The steamboat dinner comes with an assortment of seafoods, tofu, meat and fish balls and fresh vegetables. In fact, it was the broth constantly heated at variable temperature at your control that made the ingredients tasty and gave a savoury sweetness to the vegetables. Service is fast for foods to be served and refilling of soup.

Atmosphere wise, the tables are simple but well spaced out with ample room for you to enjoy you meal without much getting into each others way. It has an air-cond and non air-cond section for you to choose and there is no extra charge...

Fresh ingredients of seafood that is said to be bought and transferred from Pulau Ketam, one of the famous island in Malaysia for its fishing village and abundance of fresh seafood. Come also for the wonderful secret recipe chilli sauce that isn't too spicy yet leaving a sensational aftertaste on your palette. Staff are rude and restaurant is unwelcoming. Despite arriving early (5.30PM), we were refused a more comfortable table and were forced to sit at a table by the sidewalk under the hot evening sun. The restaurant was barely occupied. This has not happened once, but TWICE on separate occasions. The restaurant apparently refuses requests for a bigger table even if your food cannot fit the table choosing and instead keep tables for bigger parties even if they arrive at a later hour.
