Good place for a chinese dinner, whether it's fancier dishes for gatherings with friends & family or even just for your everyday typical chinese meal. This place's menu is able to cater to both. They have fancier dishes but also has the typical basics.

We came on a Friday evening around 6pm for dinner and were a party of 5, with a special guest we were taking care of.

The boss/manager man was very warm and friendly when we sat down and immediately provided recommendations on their signature dishes and helped us with suggestions of what we can order, while being very cognizant/thoughtful to tell us if the food was going to be too much for the table.

We ordered their signature spicy hotpot fish that was actually also loaded with vegetables & tofu, the sweet & spicy XL crab that came in 2 crabs with fried mantau/buns, the yin yong/2-flavor ribs, a salted egg sotong, and their signature tofu with fish maw & scallops.

The hotpot fish was huge and hearty. A whole fried fish was served in a visually impressive big dish on top of a gas stove, it was filled with mushroom, tofu, and veges like tomatoes, qinglong cai, bean sprouts, chinese/napa cabbages, daikon, and suan cai/salted vege. Broth was very nice and comforting. The dish was more sourish than spicy honestly. They even allowed us to refill additional soup when it sorta dried up during the course of our meal.

Sweet & spicy crab/chili crab was wonderful. We loved the sauce. It was just the perfect balance of sweetness and spiciness and was actually full of flavor. Very enjoyable dish. 2 crabs were enough for 4-5 people for sure. The accompanying fried manatau was great to lap up all the sauces.

The other dishes we ordered were pretty standard but absolutely tasty nonetheless! Would definitely recommend them. They have a pretty large menu selection so tons of dishes to try if you prefer something else.

Restaurant is brightly lit, airy, air-conditioned, clean and with very good air circulation, so it was a pretty comfy space to dine. Restrooms are clean, their staff are friendly and very attentive. Overall Good place to impress your guests too.

They are contactable through WhatsApp as well and their menu is on their WhatsApp too. Credit card and ewallet both accepted. Parking in the area is hit or miss. Weekdays, the road in front of the shop may actually be not too bad and there were a few empty parking spaces when we arrived and even when we left, there was quite a few places available to park. Can't speak for weekend, but my guess is parking might be...

We order tofu braised with fish maws, bayam soup and a salad sauce pork ribs. Tofu braised with fish maws and salad sauce pork ribs were a surprise to us, we could smell the fragrance of these dishes right when they were sent to our table, and the taste never disappointed us. Salad sauce pork ribs were juicy and the amount of sauce they used was just spot on, just enough to coat the pork ribs so that the pork ribs are not overpowering with salad sauce taste. Tofu braised with fish maws was really flavourful, full of umami from the fresh ingredients, and we could taste the harmonious flavour from each ingredient. We ordered small portion but the portion was adequate. The bayam soup was a let down though, the flavour was OK but it was too salty, we did not finish the soup. Overall, we liked the dishes here, but the dishes can do with less salt as they are a tad too salty...

Food quality was considered okay but very dissatisfied with the service provided. We went to the restaurant to celebrate my brother’s birthday and a Chinese uncle came over to take our order. However, we were told that we’re very “economical” based on the dishes that we ordered despite ordering 6 dishes for 8 pax and most of them are in large portions. I would like to ask, if the dishes that we ordered are not expensive enough, why would you even have them on the menu in the first place? Does this mean consumers do not have the rights to choose what they want to eat? Or people like us that doesn’t order the most expensive dish on the menu cannot dine at your restaurant? It was supposed to be a celebration but with the remark given, it has negatively affected our impression of this restaurant as we felt that we were being looked down just because we ordered the dishes that we...

Taste wise all were quite good. Portion wise on the smaller side but acceptable. The sweet and spicy cili crabs the sauce was very good but the crabs were smaller than the usual places I go to. I would say prob 500-600g ea. 7.5/10. The mantau that came with it was good to eat with the sauce. The yam basket with sweet n sour sauce pork was good 8/10. The fried fish skin was really good 9/10. The fried french bean was nice but could have more wok hei 7.5/10. The la zhe ji ding was not spicy at all but was had good amt of chicken 6.5/10 The pea shoots / tau miu were average 6/10. Do make a reservation as they are always busy.
