Dear all, I would like to kindly warn all for those who are planning to have their rice with dish meals (大吵) in this restaurant, you will certainly be angered. This is my third visit to this restaurant and it comes with a great disappointment to customers like me because after taking an order for da chao, my food wasn't served for an hour long even after calling them almost 10 times to enquire about my food. Besides, many customers that came more than 20 minutes after me had already left their tables after having their 'nice' meal. These tables ordered individual dishes like pork, fish and vegetables which is more 'expensive' in the menu. In my first two visits, I had ordered steamed grouper and catfish on each visit and the staff claimed to me on those two visits that it would take an hour to receive my food. However, I received my food within 15minutes. This shows that this restaurant has double standards towards customers, who they look to those who ordered da chao 'poor' and people who order in large quantities 'exclusive' and 'first priority'. And they don't give a damn to these poor customer who wait for ages for their food. In addition, staff's attitude is trash, shouting loudly saying that we are impatient for our food, which in fact is ridiculous.

EVERYONE WAKE UP AND STOP SUPPORTING THEM! LET THEIR BUSINESS GO DOWN THE DRAIN! TEACH THEM A LESSON! UNPROFESSIONAL, SELFISH AND...

Easy to find. Occupies 2 shops. Plenty of parking but also plenty of cars. I was lucky, as I qué a car signal to come out before my car. Both shops were packed since it was still cny. We booked so was given the side with air cond. We were unlucky being given a table beside the main door. As and when someone goes out or comes in, a gust of warm air will flow in when the door is open. So, throughout the dinner. We did not feel the air cond comfort. As it was more of a gathering among old friends for a few tables, everyone raised their voices when talking. With the closed enclosure, the echo effect was very uncomfortable. Service was acceptable. Bean curd in gravy, steam fish in black sauce were normal. Salty egg french beans stand out. Claypot curry seafood was good (squid rings, prawns and fish slices) the dry curries stood out. Kampung chicken was ok but a bit dry and tough. The dipping sauce was good. The green Kai Lan came as a whole stalk. While it is crunchy, smaller cuts would be easy to bite and swallow. The last black furs boar ribs were sweet but needed some effort to chew. Overall tasty food with prompt service. Only the air cond and the noisy crowd and echo dampen the experience. I would recommend trying. A bit pricey but it is cny and full house. They even open a few tables along the five foot way. Business...

SEP 2023 Good service and great food. Although I’ve lived in this area for 15 years this is my first time at this restaurant. I wished I found it earlier. The food is very good. We ordered many dishes of which Very good - Steamed Pak chi Kong, Fried rice, big prawn noodles, lala wine soup, curry chap chye. Average - pork knuckles. I found the three flavored sotong far too sweet. It used to be a one shop lot restaurant, but it has expended into a second shop lot and the new space is air-conditioned. It is obvious that the restaurant is family run because the service is excellent. We will be back.

JAN2024 Another good meal. The family’s favourite if the fried rice. We also liked the claypot Kang Kong and the pork ribs. Brocolli with scallops, braised salted chicken and claypot seafood was OK. Service is very good as the family members take orders.

FEB2025 Always good food with reasonable pricing. Menu is extensive and I’m never disappointed whatever I try. Hence, I am upgrading my rating to a 5*. I ordered my favourite fried rice, Lala with dried shrimp, Guinness pork, potato leaf with belacan and salted egg sotong. All good. Service was fast although the restaurant was full. Then the restaurant gave us free desserts - that’s what I call...

Was here for their CNY 2025 menu. Not bad, good value for money. Dishes were prepared and served really quick. Set menu for 10 pax was enough to feed 12 of us. Food was fresh and tasty. Service staff was overwhelmed with the CNY full house crowd and service was less attentive than usual. They only reopened on Chor 4/CNY day 4 and they weren't answering phone calls from CNY Eve till Chor 3/Day 3, so for future reference, those who want to make reservations for CNY Day 4 onwards should definitely plan to call ahead of time. Other than that, the meal was good and satisfying. Would recommend this place for a chinese new year gathering or family meal.
