ROYALE THAI RESTAURANT — Restaurant in Langkawi Island

We waited 40 minutes for food when the restaurant was less than half full. At that point we asked how long would it take for our food to arrive and we were told another 10 minutes. We told the staff to cancel our orders and the chef then came out to tell us it would be 5 minutes wait. We left.

The wait staff left other table’s food sitting on the counter for so long everything was probably cold by the time it got to guests.

We had to remind the staff to bring us our drinks after being seated for 20 minutes.

Don’t recommend going. It was the only restaurant available when we were in town. Others were fully booked or had an event, so this was the only choice. We ended back in our hotel for...

Leaving a 5 star review for several reasons. Food is tasty, there is a wide variety for all tastes and cuisine preferences, its a regular portion (maybe tiny bit smaller than usual but in line with the low price charged), and the staff is friendly. Most importantly, I forgot my wallet on the table and returned 10min later immediately when I realized it. The same person who handled our bill now welcomed me back with a smile and told me straight away not to worry, as he kept it safe after clearing out table and handed it back to me. Service and honesty is something that is lacking these days so 5 starts from me....

Ordered a seafood tomyam takeaway and the taste was just so weird, soup was a bit sweet I guess they simply add more sugar to net out some spice. The soup had 2-4 peeled shrimp I think guess it’s frozen, a little bit of squid and nothing else it was mostly onion and tomato. This soup is terrible and definitely not worth for 28RM I wouldn’t even consider paying if it’s sold half the price. This is definitely too pricy and food quality is so bad.
