This cute kopitiam has a charming old school vibe. There’s no queue system - so during peak hours on weekend, it’s a war to get tables because there’s multiple entrances to this kopitiam.

  1. Coffee & Tea: 9/10 Strong flavors, nice balance. Good coffee!

  2. Kaya Butter Toast: 8/10 Crispy, toast-y and fragrant. The kaya and butter is also great. Thin bread but thick flavours!

  3. Mee Goreng: 9/10 Nicely fried. Delicious, spicy and fragrant. Good flavours. I like it.

  4. Nasi Lemak with Chicken Curry: 7/10 Whilst the nasi lemak itself is delicious - fragrant, lemak-y. The sambal is good too. But i didnt fully enjoy the curry chicken. Its a little diluted to pair with the richness of the rice. The flavors lacking and it disrupts the while experience.

  5. Hainanese Chicken Chop: 7/10 Tender chicken chop with panko crumbs. Didnt like the tomato gravy that it came with. Prefer a hearty rich gravy that can drown the chop for a true hainanese experience.

✨ Overall Score: 8/10 ✨

Family like the hot silky smooth Teh-c here.

Nasi lemak is one of our favorite choices; however, during this visit, the fried rempah chicken was served cold and hard. It seemed to have been overcooked and left unattended for more than half an hour before being served. The manager kindly offered to replace it, but the replacement piece appeared to be from the same batch. While it was re-fried to make it slightly warm, the texture turned extremely hard, with the flesh near the skin becoming tough and fibrous. There is definitely room for improvement in maintaining food quality. Implementing a stricter quality control process during the initial preparation stage could help avoid such issues before mass production.

As for the kaya butter toast, my parents noted that while the thickness of the bread was adequate, its width and length were insufficient. Enhancements could be made by ensuring a more generous application of butter, ideally covering at least 50% of the bread’s surface. That said, the toast itself was well-prepared, perfectly toasted, and met our expectations in terms of flavor...

Disappointed.. I've been here before and it's good, so I come again this time Now it is scan qr order, my friend and I are ordering online and the lady at the counter remind us to pay first But that system is a bit “乱水” In addition, we have 7pax and the food ordered by each person is different, so we double checked several times. But during this period, the lady kept asking us to go to the counter to pay, and we also told her that we understand that we need to give the money first, but we need a double check It feels like we are being asked to hurry up, and we feel a little uncomfortable from here on out.

We ordered 3 eggs, only received 1 And we have add on fried eggs There is no other bowl, just put it directly on top of any meal, we thought it hadn't come yet

But there is a boy who is not bad, we made a mistake with the order and he patiently...

Breakfast on the last day I am here. Google reviews seemed good so decided to try a local Hainanese breakfast. Good that they open early too. Drove here cos it's too far to walk 7 early 8 early (iykyk) and it took me just 4mins. Parking in front of the shop is not available but you can make a round to the housing area behind and there's plenty of parking. The food is good, toast is yummy, coffee flavourful (this is kopi o kosong btw) and soft boiled eggs cooked just right. Opened up the toast and there were generous portions of butter and kaya. They were serving nyonya kuih as well so chose one ang ku kuih to try. Kuih is fresh, soft and fillings generous. Good meal in short and value for money but nothing to shout about really, as quality and taste wise, not much difference from some of the kopitiams in KL.
