This park is just off Jonker Walk. It is largely a paved area with some plants and statues. There is a distinctive statue of Mr. Universe which is prominently positioned in the middle of the park. This area is a bit less crowded than the main thoroughfare of Jonker St, so it's a good place to come to escape the crowds for a bit if you are here on a weekend. Jonker Walk gained special status as a cultural heritage site in 2010 mostly because of its architectural links to the Portuguese era, but we experienced it as an unremarkable jumble of small traders and local food outlets. This area always crowded during nighttime. A lot of attractions such as rickshaw, various choice of foods, arts and etc.

Jonker St can be described as a bustling street with a lot to see and eat. We enjoyed walking around and going into different stores and trying some different food. We loved seeing the different temples, the street art and being close to the water also. Make sure you check out the night market though, it is very busy but equally exciting at night with the great lights and vibes. It was cool walking past the Malaysian strong man statue’s also, aha cool photo opportunity. “Jonique Life” If you find value in our reviews please consider following our social media outlets on Facebook and Instagram as we highlight magical places you can add to your ever growing bucket list.

A small and pristine park, a hidden gem for those seeking a moment of respite from the bustling streets. This tranquil oasis is graced by a statue of Dr. Gan Boon Leong, the founding father of Malaysian bodybuilding. The park's immaculate surroundings and the dignified presence of the statue create an atmosphere of calm and reflection. It's a perfect spot to take a break, unwind, and escape the hustle and bustle of China Town. Whether you're enjoying the greenery, appreciating the statue's tribute to a significant figure, or simply taking a leisurely stroll, this park offers a peaceful retreat in the midst of the city's energy.

Jonker Walk World Heritage Park is a vibrant and bustling street located in the heart of Melaka. This historic area is steeped in cultural and religious heritage, and is widely considered to be one of the most important cultural landmarks in the region.

The main attraction of Jonker Walk is the street itself, which is lined with an array of shops, stalls, and street vendors selling everything from traditional trinkets and souvenirs to delicious local street food. The atmosphere is lively and bustling, with vendors shouting out their wares and the sounds of live music filling the air.

One of the most unique aspects of Jonker Walk is the blend of old and new that is evident throughout the area. The street is dotted with historic buildings, many of which have been beautifully restored and now house a mix of traditional shops and modern cafes and restaurants. This creates a fascinating contrast, and gives visitors a glimpse into the area's rich cultural heritage.

The Jonker Walk World Heritage Park is also home to a number of important religious sites, including the famous Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, which is considered to be one of the oldest and most important Chinese temples in Malaysia. Visitors can also explore the ruins of the Portuguese fortifications that once stood in the area, providing a fascinating glimpse into the region's colonial history.

In conclusion, if you are looking for a vibrant and culturally rich experience, Jonker Walk World Heritage Park is the perfect destination. Whether you are a history buff, a foodie, or simply someone who loves to explore new places, this street is sure to captivate and...

This park can be reached easily from Jonker Walk. The majority of the space is paved, and there are a few statues and plants scattered throughout. A notable statue of Mr. Universe has a prominent location in the centre of the park, and visitors cannot miss seeing it. If you are here on a weekend and want to get away from the throng for a little while, this section of Jonker Street is an excellent spot to visit because it is slightly less busy than the main roadway of Jonker Street.

Although Jonker Walk was recognized as a cultural heritage site in 2010, primarily due to the architectural connections it shares with the Portuguese era, our impression of the area was that it was merely an unremarkable jumble of local food outlets and small shops selling wares.

The nocturnal crowds in this region are always rather heavy. A great number of attractions, including rickshaws, a wide variety of cuisine options, arts, and many...
