Decided to give this place a try as cannot tahan the breakfast buffet which was included in the hotel rates at The Shore.
Restaurant is almost full and patronised by locals, some whom are quite elderly. This is a sign that the restaurant has been around for a long time and the food is of a certain quality and standard.
We tried almost 10 different dishes and all tasted good. We are intrigued by the Chwee kueh which is very pleasant but different from those in Singapore.
The prawn siew mai is garnished with a prawn on top and filled with more prawns within - you really can taste the prawns.
The rest of the dim sum are really 古早味 and may not taste like those in fine dining restaurants. But they really taste great and I do reminisce about the old dim sum stalls that we used to have in Singapore.
Go give it a try and let me know...

It’s disgusting.. no meat and full of fats! Ugliest 扣肉包 that I’ve seen so far! ~ service standard dropped too ~ nothing in the menu is edible 😏 it’s below average JUST DONT WASTE YOUR CALORIES ON YUCKY FOOD! Read moreDissapointed visit. It took space of 2 shoplots. Very spacious, environment is neat and peaceful. No noise at all. Nobody chitchat, unlike other dimsum shop. Very little variety. Not much choices. You need to make order by looking on the menu and they serve immediately. Obviously they are pre-cooked. We tried steam and deep fried dishes. Most of them are room temperature. This is the saddest siew mai i had ever. It look like defrost then freeze back and redefrost. The only hot food serve here is HarGao. Chee cheong fan also just warm. Charsiew inside the cheong fan is so bad.
Chili sauce and sweet sauce is self service placed at the centre of the shop. Nobody will tell u that. Just look around when u sitting down.
After eat, we feel very thirsty.. sorry, that's all my feedback.
The only thing best here is the price is nett, no...
