Horrible service. Please avoid at all costs
Here's the story Was there on 28th Dec 2022, 230pm. The shop has a strict outside food and drink policy, and we completely understand that. We were with our half full drink, walking around, saw the shop, and was thinking why not get some food. So we saw the sign about no outside food and drink just before entering, and was prepared to leave. The waitress came to greet us and we asked her if it's okay for us to go in (since we're carrying drinks, and they have only 2 customers, wondering if they'll prefer business over policy)
To our surprise, she said okay. So we went in happily, and she gave us two menus to order from, all the while with a guy waiter watching without saying anything. As we are done deciding on our food and preparing to order, THAT GUY CAME OVER AND CHASE US OUT SAYING NO OUTSIDE FOOD AND DRINKS.
VERY AGITATED. Why the heck did you invite us in and serve us with menu just to chase us out later? We even have the courtesy to double confirm with you before entering. A totally ficked up shop. Learn your customer service and manners
Reply to owner: "She was NOT FIRM enough"? We did not just go in, we asked politely, not in any menacing way, and she invited us in, giving us the menu "the guy supervisor IMMEDIATELY"? Seriously? We were sitting there for as long as we could before ready to order
It seems to me that you're still trying to push the responsibility to customers. Such business mentality. I'm just glad I went to a...
Read moreThis place has a vibe. It feels very make-shift and rustic, but it is jist a curated vibe, because the establishment is very clean.
The service was good, the staff is nice and friendly, but you have to go order at the counter and pay up-front. The accept both cash and cards.
The food is delicious, I highly recommend their eggs benedict with avocado. Everything was deliciously seasoned and fragrant. Their freshly squeezed apple juice is also delicious, but I wish there was more of it. They did not offer any water with my coffee.
Worse thing of all, there is no toilet. If you need to go, you need to visit the public toilet. (It is obviously not the fault of the staff/owner, as the building is clearly old and not fitted with toilet, but it's definitely worth a mention.)
Overall, this is a nice place for brunch, but it is rather small, it can get crowded easily. I would also consider it a bit more pricy than what I am used to in Malaysia. However, if you are willing to pay for the vibes, I would definitely gice this...
Read moreGreat place to go solo dining solo or in a small group..Not recommended for large group unless you book ahead of time to check for availability.. The cafe is small and has a ruined down garage aesthetic which is kinda cozy..owners seems friendly..the food presentation was great and taste good.. ordered English breakfast set, toast, pork/chilli spaghetti, drinks and an ice cream top brownie.. prices are on the midrange, looking at around rm 20+/- per dish.. got to say i loved the brownie which has a slightly saltiness and some sweetness when paired with the ice cream. . some unfortunate mentioned..my reduced ice mocha seemed to have less mocha rather then less ice, barely half full..staff though friendly at counter, wasn't as inviting in an overall experience.. when dining in such a small and enclosed space you would expect a more engaging host to at least inquire on dining experience and needs..also to note No Credit Card service.. cash or phone wallet only..still recommend to try at least once if you are...
