Caina Bank — Restaurant in Perak

I love this new bar in Ipoh, at least it is new to me! It is pretty easy to locate, just opposite from my favourite hangout place each time I am in town. I was estatic to discover that I have options now. So far, I have 2 visits during my last trip to Ipoh, and both were positive experiences. The crafted cocktails seemed original, and the ingredients used were interesting, to say the least. My current favourite is the sea coconut infused rum. I do have one observation I.e. for the pricing here, the cocktails are a bit low on the abv side. I usually like my drinks stronger and not as if I am having mocktails instead. On the other hand, I have to give them props on the presentation. Each drink is presented nicely with unique receptacles. I ordered some bar food and they were also good and served warm. The interior decoration is pretty but I wish they would fully embrace their theme of being bank for example, one side of the wall would be lined with safe deposit boxes etc instead of the rational Chinese theme! Visited this amazing Chinese-themed cocktail bar in Ipoh today - Caina Bank. There are 3 things I feel are essential in any great bar - a good ambience (or theme), good music and good drinks. This one met all of them! The 2 most friendly bartenders/owners were a huge bonus as well!

The place was slightly more empty during a Sunday, but it definitely deserves to be filled with customers everyday! Think this is definitely within the top 5 bars I've been to.

Prices are super reasonable as well, given the quality of the drinks.

Had 3 drinks, all of which were amazing in their own ways 60号 当铺 - lovely refreshing combination of gin, yuzu, st Germain elderflower liqueur, umeshu and citrus. 黄金储备 - upgraded piña colada with local flavours (sea coconut infused rum, pineapple, citrus, coconut, pandan) 5000 B.C. - Irish whiskey, white chocolate liqueur, Ipoh white coffee and cinnamon (a delicious cross between an Irish coffee and an espresso martini)
