Jln Theatre Coffee — Restaurant in Perak

I do really want to like this café. TL;DR pretentious place. Only for people who priorities environment compared to good cup of coffee. The single origin filter coffee need to wait quite some time, upon arrival I am surprised how petite it is, small cup not even half full. It is only getting worse as it doesn't taste like what naturally processed coffee: it was vinegary sour not fruity. The finish is harsh, coating the tongue with tannic aftertaste. Sign of inaccurate extraction; not sure whether due to the grinder shared with the espresso or the roasting issue.

To my surprise they seemed to have tasting session on the counter and tasting spoon hang as show indicating Champion of Cup Taster. But not tasting the coffee before the served to customer. Sign of disrespect to customer. Pretty sure if they really won championship this kind of wrong extraction can be easily identified.

Service is unfair and terrible. Upon stepping into the restaurant, we were asked to go and order via the table QR code, we struggled as it was also a direct payment via the app as we were young foreigners, but we only had cash and it wasnt stated on their main entrance that they were cashless. We approached the counter for assistance but all they did was “shoo”us back to our seats. Behind came in a group of mid eldery people and they were able to order at their counter with the staff, I don’t see why there should be a different in service as they could have simply assisted in taking our orders and just take our cash (I could have even tip extra with they had the flexibility to help us), so we can’t bother to try and left the place. highly not recommended until the owner does something about the...

Went there for lunch Nice and clean environment as everything is painted white.

Ordered through webpage/QR code 2 big breakfast And a coffee and iced hojicha

Didn't realised its beef bacon due to ordered in a rush, its my fault for not reading the menu till the end, I'm prepared to leave the beef bacon on the plate untouched, but the boss is nice enough to exchange it into chicken slice.

Everything is fine just that the chicken sausage have more fat which is not to my liking.

The cakes looks SO GOOD, too bad I don't have the time to stay longer due to rushing.

Delighted to see good service and attitude from the boss and polite staff. Which actually adds tons of value to a cafe.
