Magical Beans Ipoh

Positive Review Drinks really nice especially their specialty (Ipoh White Coffee). The foods were also nice and the price was reasonable with the portion given. Cafe space is spacious and comfortable for customers.

Negative Review The service is quite bad, I’m not sure if it’s Ramadhan time. Hopefully during normal times it is not this bad. Book for iftar and send the order at 6.23PM. Arrived at the shop at 6.43PM. Upon arriving at the shop, there’s a sign said “Kindly pay before served”. So I asked about my order whether they have received it or not and should I pay first? However, the staff said “Will check later on the WhatsApp and no need to pay now”. Until 7.25PM, all of the foods and drinks haven’t arrived yet and it’s already Maghrib. My friend and I waited until 7.35PM. My friend couldn’t wait anymore and asked about the status of the order. Shockingly, our orders haven’t been updated in the systems! And we haven’t break our fast 😭 Went downstairs, I asked about the orders status and they only key in all of the orders at the moment. Mind you, I am not the only customer who did not get anything yet! We were told that the food will be ready around 30 minutes time. And the drinks can get now. Unfortunately, even the drink arrived around 10 mins and this is only drinking water 😞 Everything arrived at 8.25PM. 1 hour after iftar. If the shop can give a complementary drinks as a sorry then it will be great. As my friend and I have been waiting for at least 1 hours.

Conclusion, the foods and drinks were very nice and delicious. Unfortunately, the service was not as good as the foods and drinks. Hopefully, this is not a normal thing for the cafe and only happened to me and during Ramadhan. Waiting periods for this unfortunate situation was almost 2 hours as we have been waiting since 6.43PM. As a suggestions for peak hours/days/months/, maybe when the customer has arrived, the staff should proceed with the payment and the orders so that there will be no missing orders as the receipt has been printed. And you can keep tracks with the orders. The staffs were also very sorry and give us a RM5 cash voucher (valid...

Beautiful ambiance and great food variety!

Visited Magical Beans Café in Ipoh and it was a fantastic experience. The café has a cozy, aesthetic vibe with beautiful hanging lamps, fairy lights, and rustic brick walls—perfect for a relaxed dinner or casual hangout. It’s spacious and comfortable even on a busy evening.

We ordered quite a few items from the menu: • Cheese Baked Chicken Chop Rice: Generous portion with creamy, cheesy goodness—super satisfying. • Chicken Strip Carbonara: Classic comfort food with rich, creamy sauce. • Green Pesto Pasta: Fresh and flavorful, topped with lots of grated cheese and breadcrumbs. • Mix Berries Waffle with Ice Cream: Crispy waffle, fresh fruits, and creamy vanilla ice cream—great for dessert. • Rose Bandung and Sky Juice with Lemon: Refreshing drinks to pair with the meal. • Traditional Kopi-O (Less Sweet): Strong, smooth, and nicely balanced.

Service was friendly and food came out quickly even though the place was fairly packed. Prices were reasonable, considering the ambiance and portion sizes (our bill for 7 items was RM116.60 including service charge).

A great spot for casual dining in Ipoh, especially if you enjoy a cozy café setting with solid Western and Asian fusion food. Would definitely...

First things first: the high rating results from giving 5 RM discounts for leaving a 5 star review. Otherwise people might give it a much lower rating.

We got the pineapple bun and butter kaya toast as well as a Cham-O and Mint Lemonade. The bun was tasty (but where was the pineapple?!), the toast alright. Both very buttery, a bit too much on my mind. The mint lemonade was good, but super expensive (13,90 RM, service charge not included).

But the Cham was absolutely disgusting: extremely bitter, probably from soaking the tea too long and using burned beans. Mixed with milk and sugar you might not notice, but without it it was undrinkable. I'd go as far as to say that this drink is a health risk. Something that burned should not be consumed. Go try for yourself.

The total bill was 37 RM! For a coffee and lemonade stop! That's too expensive. We had a whole Dim Sum breakfast for the same price! Sorry, but that was a big...

Magical Beans Cafe in Ipoh is truly a gem! From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the cozy and modern vibe of the place. The decor is inviting, and the atmosphere feels perfect for catching up with friends or even enjoying some quiet time alone. The menu is fantastic, offering a great mix of food and drinks. I tried the jumbo chicken chop, and it was delicious—crispy, flavorful, and just the right portion size. Their signature lion tiger mocha stole the show for me—it’s not only visually stunning but tastes absolutely divine. What stood out the most was the staff. They were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just right. It’s clear they genuinely care about their customers. I also appreciate that the cafe is halal, which makes it accessible to everyone. Whether you’re in Ipoh for a quick visit or a local looking for a great spot, Magical Beans Cafe is worth every penny. Can’t wait to go back!

We stumbled upon this cafe during our stroll in Ipoh. The place is 2 storeys, ground floor with a more rustic decoration style and the upstairs floor providing more space with a more modern, hipster design, suitable for large groups. The menu itself provides many options, ranging from local dishes to western delights. We tried the carbonara, which is quite tasty but maybe a little under seasoned. We also had the garlic butter salmon which is delicious and salmon was cooked nicely. Mushroom soup also did not disappoint (the unique part is that they serve it with garlic croissant instead of garlic bread. Yum!) Overall, the food was great + the ambience was nice and cozy, perfect for chilling and with friends and family. Staff were also super attentive and friendly. As for the coffee itself, it was quite decent so give it a try! PS: Their bathroom is really nice and instagrammable so don't forget to take some mirror selfies 😉
