Nasi Kandar Beratur 786 @Taiping — Restaurant in Perak

I got here for my iftar with family of three. We got there around 6.45pm and managed to get a table without booking. But you might want to book seems its quite full of crowd especially during weekend and peak hour.

I got nasi kandar (white rice) with kuah campur (mix of curry and other sauce) and lastly my all time favourite here, fried chicken.

All food served hot. After queue for about 10 minutes, your turn will come and you can start order the food. The jockey there is kinda fast at doing their job. And they are not try to rush you making order but you should consider to decide what to pick before your turn comes. It makes a lot easier that way.

The chosen name is self-gratuitous, especially considering that the food isn't worthy of a queue. There is a general lack of punch in its gravy mix, with the curries and dark sauces don't work together, like a pair of dancers doing their own seperate routines instead of complementing each other's moves. Moreover, the curries are too light while the dark sauce is too sweet. Some of the oil and santan even broke emulsions which produced this jagged floating red colour while both the chicken and rice are just mediocre. The price charged is exhorbitant for a place like Taiping especially considering that the quality of food is not up to par.

I visited Nasir Kandar Beratur 786 in Taman Tasik Taiping, and I must say, the food was absolutely incredible! The nasi kandar here is bursting with flavor—rich, aromatic, and perfectly spiced. The variety of dishes available, from crispy & tender chicken to flavorful curries and fresh vegetables, made it hard to choose! The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality of food served.
