Food was quite good. Despite getting the pork wrong (we ordered pork belly, they have us sliced pork), the taste was really good. The Nyonya fish was lovely and crispy. The dragon vege with sprouts was really nice. The bittergourd omelette was a bit of a let down as the bittergourd was undercooked. The steamed prawns with garlic and sohun was a show stealer; the broth was yummy. The service was fantastic until it was last call. Before we finished eating, they asked us to pay. Fine, we get that they wanted to finish their washing and cleaning so we paid. Then they started being rude. Kept reminding us to leave although the last call for ordering was 10pm. We left at 10.30pm. Tell me, if the last call is at 10pm. And the food comes, say at around 10.15pm, how do we eat in 15 minutes? They're horrible! We started finishing up as fast as we could and they turned off the fans. The minute they did that, I really got upset so I told the manager this is not right. He ignored me. My father was growing even more upset so I just told him, it's fine, I'll relate this on Google review. Now that this particular restaurant has moved to a bigger and better venue, in Taiping Chinese Chamber of Commerce building just facing the famous Taiping Lake Garden, the varieties of foods offered has increased and better than before. With a bigger place which can seat 50 tables of about 8 to 10 patrons per table, the amblem of enjoying a nice good lunch or dinner has increased tremderously and refreshingly with the beautiful surroundings. We ordered their signature beancurd with minced meat, red wine pork rib, dragon garoupa fishhead curry, bitter gourd with salted eggs and nestum prawns. The servings were very fast and all the food were very delicious and superb especially the pork rib. For 6 adults, we only paid rm200 for all t dishes.
