YC Vege Life Vegetarian Cafe in Ipoh masterfully showcases the versatility of vegetarian cuisine. During our visit, we sampled the Rendang Mane Mushroom Rice, Portabello Mushroom Burger, and Satay Mane Mushroom, accompanied by their signature Rose White Coffee.
The Rendang Mane Mushroom Rice was a standout, featuring tender, flavor-packed mushrooms in a rich, aromatic rendang sauce that perfectly balanced spices and creaminess. The Portabello Mushroom Burger impressed with its juicy, well-seasoned mushroom patty, complemented by fresh vegetables and a lightly toasted bun. The Satay Mane Mushroom was a delightful starter—succulent, smoky, and paired with a luscious unique sauce.
The Rose White Coffee added an intriguing floral twist to the classic Ipoh white coffee, making it both refreshing and unique.

Read moreMy 2nd visit in a month. Cafe style vegetarian is quite common these days and we had our misses in Ipoh. YC is conveniently located in the heart of Ipoh. Parking might be challenging but lucky for us, we managed to get during our separate visit, once in the evening and today in the afternoon. We have tried their pastas, Kimchi soup rice, ginger fried rice, wraps, salad, burger and sandwiches. Food is above our expectations and is delectable. Service is slower than average but compensated with friendly staffs and great cooking. The portion is good for a big guy like me. If you are bringing children or seniors, they will find the portion above average.
The flavour is unique compared to the regular Chinese food. Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience, and the food especially. Will be visiting again...
Read moreAlthough the food here is good, out of my 8 trips to this place, i managed to get to eat in only twice. They are either closed or fully packed. The elderly staffs are always courteous but the youngsters can't wait to get rid of customers instead of making way to accommodate just 2 or 3 persons. Sometimes 1 big table is occupied by few people and we are told that they are full house.
Oh come on...you are not the 1st vege restaurant in town. Learn courtesy from Vegan Delights pls. They have waiting area for customers and their PR is commendable.
Customer service is equally important to food quality to sustain in this industry.
By the way, not sure if it hpns to all Indians who walk in but noticed in my case and 2 others who have been told that they don't have table...
