Yee Thye is selling well-known brand for local Ipoh products, and they also offer items from other regions, including Perak, Melaka, and Johor. We discovered this shop because it stays open late, while many other shops were already closed. Their in-house heong piah is very tasty. We also tried a "no-sugar" version, which is essentially heong piah without the malt sugar filling. If you enjoy the pastry skin of heong piah, this option is highly recommended. Additionally, they have a mix-and-match biscuit promotion (buy 5, get 1 free), which is great for purchasing souvenirs for friends and family. The staff, including a Malay auntie and an uncle, were very helpful. The uncle kindly offered to let us place our heavy items on the counter so we could shop more comfortably, which showed great consideration. Thought she was leading us there but after following her we got ignored because it turns out she was just going to get multiple packets of other snacks for another customer who just came in and who was interested in buying in bulk. Seems like their attitude is that they are only happy to serve customers who are willing to spend a lot. The cashier was also rude and had a black face. Would never...

Knowledgeable and helpful Punjabi lady in charge who is fluent in Cantonese and English making shopping for biscuits hassle-free. Also the range of products in the shop is quite comprehensive...not only Ipoh biscuits, other states like Malacca products, Taiwan, Japanese products also can be found here. Then came a big group of tourists and can see their business was booming. Had to queue to pay. There are a few shops around this area selling the same type of biscuits and after comparing the prices, some are cheaper and some are more expensive. Oh yes, got the chance to buy the curry bun (curry chicken in a...
