Fish & Co. • 1 Utama — Restaurant in Petaling Jaya

It's been some time since I last ate a fish and chips, special occasion today, celebrating my mom's birthday with my sister .However my total good mood was awfully destroy by the service of this restaurant, my most terrible dining experience ever, how disrespectful of those front of house could be !!!

When we first told them table of 3, one of the staff pointed a table for us, we weren't really feeling it and decided to sit abit more inwards of the restaurant. While trying to order, I tilt my head facing towards a staff(long hair guy), telling him that I wanted to order. For the first time I'm not sure whether he is wandering or what I was ignored. I'm pretty confirm that my voice is loud and clear .Call him a second time, he walk one step to our table, didn't greet us didn't talk to us at all .This point everything still seems find, when we order he look somewhere else and didnt heard what we wanted .I increase my volume by a little, he heard and started to key in . From his unprofessional attitudes I already feel disappointed by this point...It's fineee, while trying to repeat our order, it sounds like rap... couldn't here a thing! Whole time not smiling, his appearance looks like we owe him millions ... quickly he took the menu, no thank you, nothing just went off ....

Immediately I look at my mom, we started discussing how poor the services is . When we were having the food, ask another staff(short hair guy) to get us tobasco and chilli sauce, he knoded, went to another table to clear their dishes, in a minute or two I went to the bar and ask from a lady staff for the condiments again .I didn't wait long at first, why? Because we could tell that they want to rush home asap, bad attitude and also doing all the cleaning around us when we still eating .Sanitizing the sofa, wiping tables, bringing out all the table-ware ...lol, we felt so rush , it felt like they were trying to chase us away . it's only 8.45 pm +- when we walk in, we were also aware that google say their closing is 9.30pm, we double check with one of the staff and understands 9.30pm is last call, we managed to leave at 9.50pm before closing time of the restaurant. So pretty sure we are not doing anything that irritates them .No next time and definitely not gonna recommend anyone here . For anyone that want to visit here, please reconsider whether you are ok with filling your stomach with food and negative emotions at the same time 😔

Howevere the ambience was ok, even though it's a little hot .The food was good as well at that...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a Fish & Co joint, and I must say, it was a pleasant experience from start to finish.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the interesting and inviting atmosphere that left me simply in shock and awe. The seaside themed decor was charming, with nautical touches that added to the overall ambience of the restaurant. It truly felt like a cozy coastal retreat right in the heart of the city.

Now, it’s time to speak my thoughts about the food. Every dish that we had was a near culinary masterpiece. The freshness of the seafood was unparalleled, and each bite was bursting with flavor. Whether it was the perfectly deep fried barramundi, the succulent shrimp scampi, or the tender grilled cuttlefish, every dish had pushed the bar for seafood higher and higher.

But what truly sets Fish & Co apart is their commitment to sustainability. Knowing that I was enjoying seafood that was sourced responsibly made the experience much more satisfying. It's without a doubt that they prioritize both quality and sustainability, which is something I find impressive.

Of course, can't forget to mention the excellent service I received. The staff was patient, friendly, and knowledgeable, making sure that every aspect of our dining experience was memorable.

In conclusion, Fish & Co is an underrated gem of a restaurant that I truthfully recommend to anyone looking for a place to chow down on some seafood. Whether you're a seafood lover or simply appreciate delicious food served with care, Fish & Co is sure meet those expectations for you. I can't wait to return and indulge in their scrumptious...

I had a terrible experience at Fish & Co. in 1 Utama. As a frequent diner at their Paradigm Mall branch, I know that dory fish can be delicious, but what I received here was mushy and had an unappealing jelly-like texture, something like fish not properly thawed but deep fried it at the same time.

When I brought this up to the service staff named Alif (service staff with slighly curly hair), he insisted that this is how Dory fish is supposed to be, jelly-like texture. I wanted to cancel my order, but he insisted I choose something else instead because he couldnt cancel my order. Reluctantly, I ordered another type of fish but my appetite already ruined by the Dory not cooked well earlier.

During payment, Alif told me he couldn’t void my original order and insisted I pay for both. I had to express my dissatisfaction, pointing out that he was the one who insisted I replace my fish instead of canceling. I felt absurd to be double-charged for a meal I didn’t want and reminding him I merely cut off a bite on the jelly-like dory I ask to cancel. He agreed and only charged me for one fish instead, however thats a double blow of disappointment.

Overall, the experience was frustrating and let down, and I definitely won’t be returning or recommending 1 Utama branch to anyone. I hope the management can look into this and properly thawed fishes before cooking to avoid...
