My family came here on a weekend afternoon for lunch. To be fair, the manager warned that they have a problem with the ordering system and thus service might be slow. Since the other places were rather packed, we decided to take a risk. It was a wrong move and we will greatly regret it later.
The first thing I noticed is that besides the manager and the cashier, all the other workers were wearing tshirts with "trainee" printed on them. I'm surprised that Nam Heong is so severely understaffed, they were using trainees at what I would expect to be one of their flagship stores.
A couple of minutes after taking orders, the trainees were running around the restaurant checking orders because they did not note down the table numbers on the order chits.
Another few minutes, I was informed that 2 of the items I ordered were not available. I updated my order and passed it to the manager.
My other orders came not too long after that but I also noticed that we our order arrived earlier than the other neighboring tables that had arrived earlier than us. So of course they started complaining.
The food quality was poor. The chicken rice looked really pathetic and tasted as bad as it looked. The chee cheong fun looked nothing like the menu picture and the fried onion garnishing was missing. Even the worst hawker stall chee cheong fun looked better then this.
My updated order never arrived so I asked about it. Turned out, the manager never passed the order along. When my chicken rice finally arrived, it actually looked much better than the earlier order. The two orders looked like they came from two different restaurants.
Meanwhile, the manager started turning away customers as they just couldn't handle it. Should have done that from the start as obviously their problem isn't just because of the ordering system. They are just not ready to accept paying customers.
When it was time to pay, the cashier actually resorted to taking a photo of the register's display and showing me her phone for me to check. My updated order actually didn't show up on the bill and I actually thought about taking advantage of it but thought better of it and informed the cashier instead. Then I had to wait while she did the take photo dance again.
Absolute worst experience I ever had in...
Read moreI would like to feedback about one of your staff named William in Nam Heong 1 Utama Branch for his terrible service . I planned to having my dinner there yesterday and being served by him. When I enquiry for ordering , he revert to me rude and badly attitude that the meal were almost empty. I totally angry for his body language and voice of tune making me don’t have any mood to having my meal at your place. Furthermore I did noticed him during he serve the incoming customer and his service was totally different . His service is nice and did inform to them that the food is out of stock before they entry to restaurant.
This incident totally making me felt that your staff is totally wasting my time. If your restaurant has already run out of food , kindly do inform customer at the first time and not until customer want to make order only inform that there is empty for ordering. Secondly , why do your staff apply double standards on your service , the service provided to me making me feeling too bad compared to others customer. Is your staff looking down on me as unable to make any spend at your place so provide me this kind of Terrible service? Please educate your staff what is call service quality and customer satisfaction.
Kindly provide me an official explanation after your investigation on this incidents. I hopefully you could provide me an explanation and action towards this incident instead...
Read moreHubby and i wanted a quick lunch and it was around 11.30am, we wanted to sit at the side table but the foreign worker said “no, cannot” So we chose another seat, then ordered our food and as my food was slow , i asked again and this time the same foreign worker attended me, first ignored me, then i call again, not so attentive but I still not that annoyed as his shirt wrote “trainee”. Now comes this part which really pissed us off. As I couldn’t finished my bun, I went to the counter to the chinese short haired man with earrings, asked for a paper bag. He does not give any eye contact. I took the bag and told my husband that actually I wanted to buy some takeaway but looking at that black face my tummy is bloated. We took the bill and head to the counter to pay, as my hubby took out cash, he bluntly said “no cash” Then we pointed out the counter notice which stated “preferred ewallet & card” and not “No cash only ewallet / card” . Again no eyes contact just said “no cash” Gave him the card, swiped without eyes contact, and show that freaking face as if we owe him a million dollars Seriously, we do not need this kind of freaking restaurant attention, the man in the photo, thats the one of the darkest face...
