You dim sum, You lose some 🙆🏻♀️🥟
I had the ultimately best meal after a week of tragic food disaster - my go to spot whenever I’m craving dim sum is Restoran Jin Xuan Holding Sdn Bhd!!
BBQ Pork Bun (蜜汁叉烧包) - I loved everything bao it 😛 Soft fluffy bao with Chinese BBQ Pork filling in a sweet and savory char siu sauce which came oozing out as I took my first bite! I reheated it for that extra warmness (ended up scalding my uninitiated mouth 🥲), but it was worth it. Pork belly was used for an extra succulent filling, full of porky flavor 🐷 Deep Fried Savoury Pastry (咸水角) - My first time trying Ham Sui Gok and it was deliciously chewy 🤤 Just its gorgeous bubbly golden crust alone is enough to make anyone weak in the knees. Then enter that stretchy glutinous fried dough with just the perfect amount of chew. No doubt, your mouth will be demanding this after: MORE. It’s not over yet, though. Inside that incredible outer layer are tiny pork bits & dried shrimps that just pop with juices infused in iconic Cantonese spices. They’re so good that you won’t be able to wait to have the next! Har Gaw (顶好虾饺皇) - The old-school traditional crystal shrimp dumpling is a must have when ordering dim sum 👍🏻🍤 This steamed cooked goodness is by far the most artistic dim sum, with the bright pink chunks of fresh shrimps veiled by the thin, stretchy, chewy, delicate and translucent wrapper. It had a crystal clear, elastic skin with a whole plump and juicy shrimp encased in it 😍🥟 what more can you ask for 😩❤️ Deep Fried Sesame Balls (芝麻枣) - My mom and I would always pop by this restaurant to snack on these bubbly, golden sesame balls which never fail to put a smile on our faces 😌 I love the thick lotus paste which is mildly sweet yet rich & sticky with a gnawing effect! It’s basically happiness in a tangible and...
Read moreI have been a regular customer at this outlet. During this visit, once I entered this dim sum restaurant, I could see flies flying everywhere, after having our food served, I was extremely disturbed by the amount of flies flying above our food. This restaurant is literally infested with FLIES!!! And to make it worse, after finishing our food, I’ve found a DEAD FLY floating in the pre-packed sugar cane drink that I have ordered!!!! I showed this drink to one of the worker, and all he did was taking the drink away as if he was trying to destroy the proof before I could do anything else, and gave me the bill, saying that he has excluded the drink from our bill. But that wasn’t what I want, it’s not like I can’t afford to pay for a drink that I ordered. I want an explanation and a proper apology since I have drank more than half of that drink with a dead fly in it!!!! I brought this matter to the cashier and he couldn’t cared less either. I was really disappointed by their poor service and how they handled this matter. And there is definitely a serious communication problem with the staff there as they are all FOREIGN WORKERS. Needless to say, within hours after leaving the restaurant, I had stomach upset and diarrhoea all thanks to the poor hygiene standard of this outlet. Will never come back to this outlet again, I’d rather drive a little further to the other outlets until they have solved their...
Read moreJust now my friends n I went to this dim sum restaurant in Damansara Jaya for our lunch. The place was cool enough despite the fact that it was almost packed with customers as today being Sunday. They have 2 little cute robots to deliver dim sum to their customers straight from the main kitchen. After delivering the food, the robot would head straight back to the kitchen , ready for the next delivery. So fast n efficient without a single mistake. Working better than any human labour. I was really fascinated watching how efficient n effective these little robots are. We browsed through the various menu n then ordered our lunch. The food came out hot n aromatic. We enjoyed eating a widespread variety of mostly savoury n some sweet desserts as well. We ate prawn n pork dumplings, sweet n savoury paus, cheese Cheong fun, pork porridge, egg tarts , yam puffs, fish balls , steamed pork ribs n steamed savoury glutinous rice. All these paired with a pot of refillable Chinese chrysanthemum tea. A really enjoyable meal in cool, cool comfort. The total bill was quite affordable. So much cheaper than eating the same type of dim...
