This would be my last visit to this restaurant.
Today me and my group of friends of 20 pax had dinner at this place. While having dinner we had a small sharing session on the learning outcome of today's management class. We initially used the PA facility for sharing session, however this was interrupted by the restaurant manager with a very angry face. We might have disturb the other guest at the restaurant thus the manager become agitated with our group. Thereafter we did the sharing without the mic. However, that manager seems do not want to let us off, and he came by and turn on the music loud and constantly walking pass our group with a nasty look. The restaurant waitress was kind enough to help us turn down the volume so that we can continue with the group sharing. We though that this would be the end of the harassment from that manager, but it did not end there. The manager continue to come over and even asked another staff turning up the volume. I just do not understand the purpose of him doing this. Whats the benefit of agitating your customers. Its not that we are not ordering food. We spend well over RM2,000 here. The action of this manager clearly ruin our night and the...
Read moreTl;dr Food was amazing. Restaurant’s interior was a bit tacky. Singer was abhorrent.
To start, the service crew were really professional. They were friendly, patient, and helpful. They gave good recommendations, was prompt with helping us with any requests, and all-in-all wonderful experience with them.
The food were also splendid. The roasted chicken with mushroom sauce was seasoned beautifully and the chicken was tender, plus a good serving size too (a whole chicken). The soft shell crab was crispy and although the wagyu rendang was a bit tough, everything that came out of the kitchen/bar were all done immaculately.
Restaurant’s interior was quite “inspired.” The dining area had a Victorian -esque vibe and it was good but the cny decorations did look a bit out of place. The toilet entrance had flashing RGB lights which felt unnecessary and doesn’t fit the overall vibes of the restaurant. HOWEVER, the absolute worst part of the night was the singer. Her vocals were off-key, off-beat, and had the vocal range of a 1970s pickup truck. It...
Read moreWe went for lunch and were seated at the Skyhill section. First impressions were already not good. Interior decor looks art deco inspired but had elements added on that made it look cheap and tacky. Menu looked like it was made by a 7 year old, even though the prices were hotel-prices. I ordered the prawn aglio olio and requested no chilli flakes and not spicy. But it arrived with chilli flakes and was too spicy for me. They took it back and seemingly washed some, but not all, of the chilli flakes off. It came with 3 miserable looking prawns that were not fresh. After I had eaten my meal, we still had to wait 15-20 mins longer for my partner’s meal to be served. They should have informed us from the beginning that his meal would require a longer time to cook. Overall the food is edible and the views are nice. But I would not return and I would not...
