The Good Guys — Restaurant in Petaling Jaya

Food's good, no doubt about it. Waiters are responsive, courteous and helpful. My only one misgiving about the entire place is that second-hand smoke is allowed indoors. Now, granted, it IS a pub/bar. Having said that, though, I wouldn't want to stay more than an hour there, for fear of having my clothes stained with the cigarette smoke stench.

The must-try here is the siew yoke, or Chinese roast pork - unlike most other roast pork, this bar's roast pork is tasty and not so on the smelly, porky side. The burgers were also quite good, except for their patties, which were mostly beef cartilage and fat. The salted egg fries (that came with the burger) were an unusual choice, but worked well other than the fact that it was too salty.

Come early if you want to chillax and have a delicious meal here, as seating capacity is quite limited. Service is...

I've been here a few times and Google keeps reminding me to write a review so here I go. It's located right in the hustle and bustle of uptown, that means parking is a pain but once you through that challenge typically found in this area (coming after working hours helps) , be prepared for a place that gives a warm welcome, cheap beer, cheap AND good food. Those who understand value in catching up with friends in a decent not-trying-too-hard environment will appreciate this little joint. Small but cozy place to hang out after work for food and/or booze. Advised to reserve table in advance. Decent variety of food (curry siew yoke simple, small portion but tastes sourishly nice! Hainanese chicken chop with crispy skin and mouthy flesh, makes me drool just thinking about it. Fried snacks are of smaller portion but thumbs up for the taste.) Plus, good and efficient service by the crew. 1 downside, and I agree with other reviews about this, is the lack of a particular smoking area thus patrons can freely smoke indoors, which may possibly turn off others....
