Vintage Kissa Audio Cafe — Restaurant in Petaling Jaya

This cafe was a sight and sound to behold. It's situated on the first floor of the row of shoplots near Sunway Nexis. No big signage but lovely retro music greeted us as we approached the entrance to the stairs. The walls are covered with old vinyl records and vintage posters - it was a walk up memory lane. Entering the cafe our eyes were mesmerized by different vintage items from old vinyl records to cassette tapes to CD and all sorts of audio players as well as speakers. The choice of music was soothing to the ear and the sound quality was very good. The young foreign worker girl laid down a lot of rules as we entered the cafe. That was a little off putting but we were soon greeted and hosted by the cafe owner dressed in a lovely vintage red dress with white polka dots. She was warm and welcoming and brought us around the cafe for a tour and even helped us take photos. We had coffee, cakes, waffles and pastries. They were all excellent. However, seating was a little tight and after a while the cafe became very crowded and on top of the music playing in the background, the sound of customers chit-chatting became a little overwhelming. In spite of that, it was over all a lovely experience....

A true hidden gem for audiophiles and cozy cafe lovers alike! Vintage Kissa Cafe is tucked away on the second floor of a shophouse. Definitely feels like one of those spots only the “know-wheres” know about.

The space is centered around vintage audio experiences. If you’re into vinyl or just appreciate good sound, this place is a whole vibe. There’s a dedicated quiet zone (aka the listening room), which you can enter with a minimum spend of RM30 per person. It’s only open to the public on weekends, so plan ahead! They even offer vinyl record cleaning, which is such a cool touch.

The ambiance is super warm and cozy, filled with vintage charm and calming energy. Just a heads-up: if you’re coming to work, laptop usage is limited to 1.5 hours. After that, you’re still welcome to chill, just close the lid and enjoy the surroundings. Also, no flash or professional photography is allowed, so it stays peaceful for everyone.

I had their kombucha and took away waffles topped with egg, both were solid picks and tasted great.

Perfect spot if you’re looking to slow down, enjoy quality music, and sip on something good. Will definitely...

Very cozy space with relaxing music and great ambience, you can tell a lot of effort was made into the decoration with passion.

Food wise, I've only tried the cake and it was only average. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Service wise, please kindly improve especially the lady staff. Very welcoming at first second with enthusiastic greetings and warm smiles. Had my order taken by the male staff and went to take photographs of the place. However, the female staff immediately walked up to me and told me I have to order first. I understand the policy, however kindly word your statement better or at least pose it as a question by asking have you ordered yet. The quick assumption that I did not order anything while looking around without even double checking with the other staff definitely put me off.

Good for one time visit, but sorry I won't come again as the service has made this a somewhat...
