Tasty Point (1) — Restaurant in Sarawak

Was Tasty Point. But now 美味. I was told different management/owner now. Liked Tasty Point's laksa, curry rice, porridge. So, went with cousins and we tried the items we used to like of Tasty Point's. They ran out of laksa and porridge. But the curry rice wasn't as good - the taste was there, but only 80%. Could be because it was a little watery and not as thick as I remembered. Group consensus was that it tasted good, but nothing extraordinary that we would come back specifically for any dish. (Clarify: might come back, but if we were in the area, for food in general. Not because we craved a particular dish of theirs.) I had to commend their service, though. They were busy but they didn't take their stress out on the customers. They were instead very accommodating, as we were 8-10 people. And quite apologetic in informing us that they ran out of certain dishes. (Non-locals may take this for granted, but Food & Beverage is not considered a service industry by many...

The kolok mee meat too small and the noodle taste weird, the soup tasted weird, bbq pork too chewy like not properly cook and the drinks was too much ice, few sips finished already...I would not recommend this place, It's not worth your while better go...

Place and menu have been the same since forever. Quality of the then famous laksa has changed over time. No difference between normal and special laksa, other than maybe an extra prawn or two. Service is above average: attentive and food...
