Warm Hospitality, Gorgeous Views & Truly Thoughtful Service
I visited this Café during a recent trip to Malta, and it ended up being one of the highlights of the trip. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, the decor was beautifully done and fun, and the rooftop view where we sat was absolutely stunning - perfect for soaking up the sunshine and taking in the scenery.
What really set this place apart though was the woman at the front desk. I have a severe nut allergy, and after being turned away by a few places, I was feeling pretty discouraged. But she went above and beyond in a way that truly moved me - she insisted on personally make my food to ensure it was safe, double-washed all the plates and cutlery, chopped tomatoes by hand to avoid any risk of contamination from the chopping board, and even brought an unopened pan of bread over to me, for me to check the ingredients myself. Her level of care and thoughtfulness made me feel incredibly safe and genuinely cared for (thank you so much again).
On top of that, the food was fantastic. I had a cheese and ham sandwich that was honestly unreal, and my boyfriend really enjoyed his full fry. Everything was fresh, tasty, and made with love. The prices were incredibly reasonable too - surprisingly cheap for such high-quality food and thoughtful service. Such great value for money.
This café is the kind of place you want to tell people about - not just for the great food and views, but because experiences like this stay with you. If you’re in Rabat, do yourself a favour and go. You won’t regret it. It’s the first place on my list when I return...
Read moreWe came here 3 days in a row and somehow never managed to find this place open. On Google Maps and on their door it says they open at 08:30. Yesterday and this morning we were there around 09:30 / 10 and found it closed. We had coffee at a café next door both days and they didn't open all the time we were there. This evening we passed by, finally saw it open, and went in to order a coffee (it was 19:30, Google Maps says they close at 21:00 on a Friday) and the bartender said "I am sorry but we are closed". I normally would not leave a review for a place I did not manage to try yet but this has been frustrating because we really wanted to try their coffee and it was just impossible. 3/3 struck out. We live in the technology era so obviously we guide ourselves on the timetables that are displayed online. But even if those would not be updated, a sign on their actual door confirming the right timetables would be...
Read moreUpdate: we went back twice: one time it was closed although we had specifically asked if the would be open for breakfast a day in advance. Second time was disappointing, no more yummie eggs or pancakes and honestly it felt like we were a burden the entire stay. The staff working did their best but was in over their heads and even told us so, apologetically. We probably won‘t bother going another time.
Wow, what a little gem! We had breakfast, the pancakes were delicious and the fruit it came with one of the best I have had in a long time, also had the turkish eggs and they were so so good I wanted to order seconds. The food at the neighboring tables also looked great.
The staff was very attentive and sweet. Overall an amazing breakfast and the best start to the day! Thanks so much!
Meant to take pictures but forgot because it looked so good once the food...
