Talk of Town Cafe — Restaurant in Sliema

I had the pleasure of having breakfast at Talk of Town Cafe this morning with a couple of friends, and it was truly a fantastic experience. Located conveniently on the right side of the entrance of the stunning AX The Palace Malta, this café offers a cozy yet elegant atmosphere, perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

The selection of cakes and pastries was absolutely delicious, and the omelet was cooked to perfection—light, fluffy, and full of flavor. We also enjoyed a lovely selection of teas, which paired beautifully with our meal. The café’s menu caters to a variety of preferences, and they were very accommodating with vegan options.

A special mention to Jewallan Dsouza, who took care of us with the utmost professionalism and kindness. His attention to detail and willingness to help make our visit even more enjoyable.

The interior of the cafe is stylish and comfortable, with a well-stocked bar and a welcoming ambiance. Whether you’re looking for a casual coffee or a full meal, this spot is an excellent choice. Open daily from 10 AM to 10 PM, it’s a must-visit in Sliema!

Pros - dishes were nicely presented and very tasty. Cons - came in and no acknowledgement from staff, had to catch one to ask to be seated and to clean dirty table and chairs, nothing happened after, so again had to catch one to get menus, after 10 minutes! went to ask for the menus again and asked if this is their standard or if we will be able to eat within an hour. We were assured we will. Order was taken promptly and then we waited 30 minutes! Other tables were occupied but either empty or with coffees only. Dessert was overly sweet. Ordered macchiato and it was terrible. Noone cared about napkins and sugar sachets on a floor, pigeons everywhere. Breakfast is served until 11 and breakfast buffet until 10.30 which is...

I live locally and used the Talk of the Town, with a friend, for supper yesterday evening ... 4th April.

There was a large party 20+, so the three staff were very busy ... yet they did a superb job serving everyone else. They helped make it almost enjoyable evening. And the food was good too.
