Convenient location with a big dining area. We had a late lunch and we were lucky to find a table for 4 outside without a reservation. Overall the food was very tasty and us you can see from the portions are generous. We got a bottle of French Sauvignon Blanc two appetisers and 4 mains and we paid 146,5€. Yep quite pricey but overall I believe it was worth it. Each main came with two sides as well so we were pretty full that we didn’t want desert.
The only negative part was the service. In the beginning of our experience we had a Maltese waitress who took our order pretty fast and we were happy but things changed when we needed to add one appetiser. I understand that the kitchen is busy but I am pretty sure that it is very common to add something. My problem was not that, my problem was his reaction. Basically when he brought the cutlery in our table literally 3 min after we placed our order we just wanted to add bruschetta and he didn’t ask which one and he speed away to go add it. When he came back few minutes later to serve the wine I asked which bruschetta he added ( because the menu has two) and he said rudely that I can’t choose now as the order is already in place. I mean ok I understand but don’t be rude. Furthermore, when we finished with the starters and the same waiter took our plates he left our cutlery which I found odd and while we were waiting to be served he didn’t even came to check on us not once. He check on all tables that were in our area and not ours. When the mains arrived I asked for 4 sets of cutlery. It may sound stupid to you but my main was fish and one of the appetisers had duck… I do believe it is common sense to change them or even offer especially on a pricy place like that. When he brought them you could see in his reaction that he was unhappy with my request. At the end when we asked for the check you could see that he wanted us gone. Like he didn’t ask for our experience neither he offered the dessert menu.
This is a typical example of how a place with great food could have a negative effect only by a...
Read moreUnfortunately I was left very disappointed with my friends. The venue itself is designed beautifully and was a welcome start, however all the food was underwhelming. Moreover, the final bill came to 90 euros for one starter, three mains, water and soft drinks (which for the quality of items we got was unfortunately very overpriced).
We started off with dumplings which, although a picky claim, had a hair on them, which we decided to notify the waiter of, to which he told us it's a shaving of a spring onion after reviewing with the chefs. I apologise but I find this very hard to believe, although they did bring us two more dumplings which was nice of them.
For the main course, the steak we ordered was undercooked and tasted unseasoned (we ordered a medium), with vegetables that didn't taste fresh in any way. The mushroom pasta tasted jarring and gave my friend who ordered it terrible food poisoning. The other pasta we ordered came served similar to a lasagne, but I have to believe this was either preheated or overcooked as it unfortunately had no redeeming flavour to it, and the closest I can compare the flavour to was a reheated lasagne I purchased during a Ryanair flight.
I wouldn't consider us picky people, and I personally do remember an excellent experience at this place two years ago, but whether this was an issue of cooking staff, change of management, or somehow a really bad day at work, Tiffany's Bistro was unfortunately one of the worst experiences I've had yet at a place.
The desserts looked good in the display, but at this point we were too...
Read moreI had breakfast at Tiffany’s Bistro in Sliema Ferries and really enjoyed my visit. The location is perfect, right by the sea, with beautiful views and a calm atmosphere. It’s a great place to start your day.
I stayed inside the restaurant as it was nice and quiet, with a cosy feel. There’s also a seating area outside, so you can choose where to sit depending on what you prefer. Whether you want to enjoy the fresh air or a peaceful spot indoors, both options are available.
I ordered a full English breakfast and a double espresso. Everything was hot, fresh, and full of flavour. The eggs were cooked just right, the bacon was crispy, and the sausages were tasty. The toast and grilled tomato were a nice touch, and the baked beans made it feel complete. The double espresso was strong and smooth 👌
The service was friendly and fast. The staff were welcoming and made sure everything was ok. You can tell they care about their customers and work with pride.
I’m also adding some photos and videos to show how good everything looked. The food was presented nicely and tasted just as good.
Tiffany’s Bistro is a lovely place for breakfast or even just a coffee by the sea. I’ll definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sliema.
Thanks for the great food...
