The pho made here is delicious! I’ve had pho all over so I feel confident in my ability to judge delicious pho from mediocre. I get the cameron y res pho (shrimp and steak). There’s something unique about the shrimp. It’s so well seasoned. The steak is a cut that doesn’t get chewy even after being in the broth for long. It melts in your mouth. The broth is rich and bursting with flavor. There is one downside though, sometimes the basil that comes alongside isn’t the freshest - not enough people are frequenting this outstanding pho shop. So far it’s the best pho I’ve had in TJ.
The menu is simple and straightforward, so it’s not difficult to make a decision - but if you do come here, and you should, go for their wonderful pho!
Update: The Pho here is still some of the best I’ve tasted in North America. It would be nice to see them find some beef tendon they could add to the meat choices for the Pho.
I tried something new - The Teriyaki Chicken and Rice. It was pure disappointment. I actually ended up giving it to my dog. Just stick with...
Read moreMy mom and I wanted some Phoʻ so I found this restaurant, which was the only one nearby. After we entered, the wait staff greeted us, it smelled of pho, and the menu gave a few options but tame in comparison to the ones we frequented in the Bay Area. The broth and noodles were amazing, The noodles had the right chewiness, and the meat was well-cooked. Just wish they had tripe, and beef tendon at least. But overall it was very good. The atmosphere felt a bit like a typical San Jose Phoʻ restaurant. A was a bit muggy that day so probably felt inside more like one in Southeast Asia. Was a good spot even...
