I recently dined at Sophia, a delightful Italian restaurant located in Cacho, and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was inviting, and the service was impeccable.
For the main course, I had the pleasure of enjoying two standout dishes. The first was a creamy tortellini pasta dish, richly flavored with a delicate Alfredo sauce. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the sauce had just the right balance of creaminess and seasoning. The addition of ham and peas provided a lovely texture and burst of flavor, making every bite a delight.
The second dish was a beautifully prepared chicken entrée, accompanied by a vibrant medley of vegetables including broccoli and zucchini. The chicken was tender and cooked to perfection, bathed in a savory sauce that complemented the fresh, crisp vegetables wonderfully. The inclusion of artichoke hearts added an extra layer of sophistication to the dish.
Both meals were presented with elegance, garnished thoughtfully, and portioned generously. The attention to detail in both flavor and presentation was evident and greatly appreciated.
Overall, Sophia in Tijuana exceeded my expectations with its delicious food, excellent service, and charming ambiance. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic and satisfying Italian...
Read moreI went to this place because I was in the mood for some Italian food. Boy it was such a huge let down.
I ordered a chicken in lemon sauce. When they brought me my plate I thought that it was some type of appetizer. The I thought it was a joke, but I soon realized that it was not an appetizer or a joke, but the food I’d ordered. On my plate there was two tiny (and I mean tiny) and thin slices of chicken breast, like four to five, may six, slices of carrots and that was it. The taste was just as bad. Even though it dis taste like lemon, it was really washed down.
The portion I got is the smallest I’e ever gotten at any restaurant any where in the world I’ve traveled to. And I have done some extensive traveling to many countries. I cut each piece into three small cuts each and that was it.
I have noticed that many restaurants try too hard to pass themselves as “fancy” restaurants and one way they do it is by giving you tiny portions and charging a lot. But after traveling the world I know that a lot of the best restaurants don’t always do that.
They need to reconsider some or their menu. Because what I ordered was a joke.
The drinks also need to be reconsidered, the were also OK.
On the other hand, my friend ordered a pizza and that was pretty good. Definitely much better than...
Read moreFood was DELICIOUS! Service was great, but I felt as if everyone was watching us eat and drink. My husband and I went in for a quick drink as we were waiting for our daughters at a nearby dentist for their orthodontist appointment and our son was getting a haircut. This was on a Friday afternoon; after work, so we weren’t dressed in our best clothes… but certainly not our worst. We felt watched and judged… LOL We had plenty of money to pay, but we didn’t order a dinner; just wine and appetizers since we were taking our kids to eat somewhere else later as we didn’t think they would want to eat there. Because of this reason my husband doesn’t want to go back. I would. I don’t care what they think or if they are watching me eat or drink. But I understand my husband’s point of view. They did seem “judgy.” LOL. If they just had a bar where people could just go in to have a glass of wine, it would be great. I would be here every month when my daughters have a dentist...
