Luxury Beach Club — Restaurant in Isla Mujeres

We were a bit hesitant after seeing some of the previous reviews but the service both times we came here was fantastic! Danny is an awesome server - super attentive, great English, great service. The second time we came to meet with Gabriela to see if the venue would be a good fit for our wedding and we totally fell in love! She was fantastic - helped us visualize everything we could do to customize the space, so professional and very well-prepared. We are so excited to work with her and her team! Highly recommend for events on Isla - the location is beautiful and the food was great. We had the ceviche, fish and shrimp tacos, guacamole, and coconut shrimp - all were great, just needed a little bit of salsa picante to add on top :)

Re spending a day here - yes, you can go to other beach clubs down the island and not pay for chairs, but in Playa Norte, Luxury definitely has a more exclusive vibe because of the charge (300 mx for 2 chairs and an umbrella). Pros: walkable from the ferry (and they will store your luggage if you ask), lots of seating (boardwalk chairs, beach chairs, almost-in-the-water chairs, lounge beds), good bar, and a good beach.

Cons: everything is pretty overpriced, the food is genuinely awful (americanized and low quality), and the service is slow. The DJ was blasting music from about 3 pm, he was pretty good so we were okay with it but it might not be...

We first encountered this place because we used their chairs to sit beach side. After swimming, we ventured inside in search of food. We were met with great service and great food. Inquire about spice if you are a mild person, and be sure to venture into local cuisine and not the American flare....
