This tucked away little gem is just a few blocks from Hidalgo St and wow what an incredible find. There is only a small sign outside signaling there is an incredible mezcaleria bar on the roof of a storefront. We were pleasantly surprised by the decor, the vibe, the drinks and the service. It was exactly what we were looking for.
We first popped in on a Saturday night and I believe we were the only tourists there. It was a great community of locals and friends. There were people dancing barefoot to great music provided by the D.J. and welcoming tastings of mezcal and you sat down to enjoy the night. We enjoyed the unique flavors of the mezcal but it was the fresh, unique and carefully crafted drinks that really impressed us....as well as the kind and genuine service we received. Read moreStopped by for a drink. It looked a nice spot and a good location to sit for a bit. Ordered at the bar and paid, then went to grab a table - only to be told tables were only if you got food. Drinks only, you have to sit at the bar - which just had loud music and no view or breeze.
If they told me that before I'd have gone somewhere else. Especially as it was already way overpriced.
The tables were all empty too (maybe 2 were occupied in the whole place). If it was busy I'd understand, but it was empty... Not particularly friendly about it either.
