I came to Puerto Vallarta on November 29. I had a Starbucks card with around $212.00 on it and I only used it at the Basilio Badillo starbucks location. The dollar amount were transferred to pesos. On December 20 I had a balance of 3,810.70 pesos. On December 26 my receipt showed that as of 3:22 PM my balance was reduced to 1,128.77 pesos. Thinking that it was a printing error about an hour later I returned to Starbucks to get a printout of my balance. To my and the employee’s surprise my balance had gone down even more in less than two hours to 644.72 pesos!
The only assistance I was given was a non-working toll free number to call. I therefore reported the card as stolen to stop any further draining of the card. I then reported the problem to the correct toll free number I found online twice. The second time I was finally given a case number. (211 226-002335). Was told I would hear in 48 hours but nothing has happened so far. Obviously nobody cares.
I am still in Mexico and stopped patronizing Starbucks. And will not patronize it when I return to the states month. Since I only used the card at the Badillo location, someone in that place must be responsible for draining my card! Starbucks does not appear to take any responsibility for the thefts
Based on my experience:stay away from Starbucks, especially the Basilio Badillo location) and, at no time, use.a credit or Starbucks card for payment! Complaining to Starbucks will be of no help. You may just never recoup your stolen money (in my case about $160...
Read moreI've been a long time customer & even a "partner" at Starbucks back in the day. I've watched their prices go up & quality go down over the years, but yesterday's experience took the cake. After waiting in line for 10 minutes, with just one person in front of me, I ordered my drink, chai latte with regular milk and no water, and was charged more than the advertised price on the menu. I asked the young lady at the register why she was overcharging me. She said it was because of the milk. I said I didn't request any specialty milk alternatives. She said that I wanted to remove the water, which means extra milk to make a complete drink. Seriously? I've been ordering the same thing for years & never been up charged for having an ingredient left out. Not sure if this is corporate greed on the part of Starbucks, or just one corrupt employee. Either way, it's a very bad look for the company. Buyer...
Read moreI’ve been coming to this location since they opened. The bathroom is always clean and the area is easier to get to than the malecon location.
The downsides are that there is one barista that is always slow and does not create drinks in order. Each time he works the line takes forever. When the other baristas are working you get your drinks in a reasonable time. The food selection is great, but you cannot preorder drinks or food in the app which is annoying.
The only real complaint I have is the staff always skips the line and makes their own and their local friends drinks before the guests. It is obnoxious. A friend will come in from outside and walk up to the barista and get their drink instantly vs waiting like the rest of us. But it is what it is. I’m still happy to have this location.
Back a year later same great and efficient service.
Still great service and the new egg white sandwich...
