Extremely classy place, super spot to bring the family when you need to impress! I recommend getting a reservation, but probably you won't have an issue if you come early, they accommodated our group of eight when we walked up. The ceiling made a bit motion sick untiI I realized it was painted canvas. The effect is quite beautiful. I wish I could have gotten a better look at the water feature, and the plants on the wall. The ambiance was just right.

Our drinks were just mojitos, but they make the prettiest, most delicious mojitos I've ever had in my life. They brought bread baskets for our table, and there was whipped butter and also a whipped cheese with peanut butter that was surprisingly delicious. They gave us several starch options, including at least two types of bread and an excellent seeded cracker that was quite satisfying. 5 star bread basket, for sure.

I asked for the sea bass, I think, which came on a bed of perfectly caramelized onions and mashed potatoes. The seared grapes (which were expertly deseeded), in my mind, didn't quite jive with the rest of the dish, but the sweetness was a nice contrast to the savory mushroom sauce. All other reports from the rest of the table were very encouraging. The tenderloin was great, as were the pasta dishes.

The ice cream was well received by the only person with room for dessert- my 4 year old daughter.

I would say, in a large city in the USA, you might expect to spend, at minimum, $50 a person for the quality we experienced here. It probably was about $20 or less here, for top notch quality.

I do highly recommend TRIO, for the very...

TRIO Restaurant in Puerto Vallarta is an outstanding dining experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special meal. I recently celebrated my birthday there, and I was blown away by the food, service, and atmosphere.

We started with the calamari and green salad appetizers, which were both delicious. The calamari was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the green salad was fresh and crisp.

For our main courses, we had the catch of the day, which was red snapper. The fish was cooked to perfection and was served with a delicious sauce and vegetables.

The service at TRIO was impeccable. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable, and he made sure that we had everything we needed. The atmosphere in the restaurant is also very inviting. The dining room is elegant and sophisticated, but it's also warm and welcoming.

Overall, I had an amazing dining experience at TRIO Restaurant. The food was excellent, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was perfect. I highly recommend TRIO to anyone looking for a special meal in...

This place was average at best. I expected more from a high end restaurant. I will admit that the service is exceptional. They have lots of staff and are always watching the table. Drinks were fine. Hard to get a Cosmo and margarita wrong. Mixed salad was drowning in dressing. My fault for not asking on the side which I usually do. Tomatoes Soup had very good flavour. Best part of the meal. Lamb was tasty but vegetables all overcooked. Papardelle was overcooked. Sauce was basic. Presentation on plate lacked. All the pasta stuck together with shrimps (tasty) thrown on top. I just ate the shrimp and left the overcooked noodles. Lastly we booked online and I stated it was my wife's birthday (It actually was). I ensured they checked us in and saw the note on file. They did nothing for us. If you are a foodie I would stay away. If you want great service with average food at premium pricing...

This has to be my absolute favorite place to eat in Puerto Vallarta. Had dinner here last night and was absolutely amazed at how delicious the food was. Not only was the restaurant charming, service great, but the food was top notch. Started off with the mouth watering tomato soup. So flavorful and delicious. Then we had a lobster tail on top of perfectly prepared pasta and vegetables. Then the main course was a Filet with caramelized onion. Then we finished off the meal with crazy good mango crepes, cheese cake and a warm chocolate cake with ice cream. The chef hand picked the red wine pairing and it was perfect. I drank too much. Had to leave a review because I was so impressed! Enjoy and thank me later!

Fantastic!!!!!!! I hope you consider it, we stumbled into Trio and found the land of the lost Chef Extraordinaire. The Chile roasted red snapper was over an inch thick and utterly perfectly cooked. Lightly mediaum rare in the center of that slab of delicate fish, and awash in the most amazing sauce. The service - I thought I passed out and had been transported to Nice, France - the service was so fantastically catering while at a distance. Accommodative and understanding of food allergies and particular kids tastes’. And I just can’t believe the fish. I’m from SF and this snapper, this chef, I wish were there. I will miss Trio, every second of my life…

Great venue, good food, and pricing in line with quality. I had the rabbit with parmesan gnocchi and my wife had red snapper. Hers was perfect mine had to go back because it was cold. Came back hot and delicious. Would go back just for that. Only reason they get a 4 instead of a 5 was because service was excruciatingly slow from start to finish. Ended up going up to the bar to get my second drink. :-) Would recommend.. Just don't be afraid to send cold food back as another in our party had to do the same. The food is excellent so make them get it right. One last issue....fix the urinal it the men's room. A bathroom should not stink.
