You know, I wish I could convey how much it means for me to say I've never had a better sandwich. Given my justified pride in my own culinary skills and my diverse sampling of culinary cultures, I was absolutely stunned to be presented with a simply elegant Focaccia bread bacon and blueberry jam sandwich I couldn't hope to master if I wanted to try. And let's be clear, I have no interest in trying to cook better than the absolute master they have running their kitchen. Portion sizes for all foods are generous enough to split between two hungry people and be satisfied, while returning for three visits proves the quality of food and service is repeatable and deliverable, time after time. With an elongated footprint that allows for each table to claim a lateral space, even full tables manages to feel comfortable. Hailing from NYC, where food expectations are sky-high, I was delighted to find Cosmo surpassing them all. It’s perfection on a plate, easily the best I've tasted anywhere. Their Avocado Toast, crowned with a flawlessly poached egg, is a gourmet triumph. Chilaquiles are a definite art form. Just like painting, sculpture or music, many people think they can make great chilaquiles but in truth they are only praised by their mothers.

Cosmo actually has delicious chilaquiles and somehow, magically, they have found the Goldilocks zone for spiciness. They are spicy enough you won’t need extra salsa but not so spicy your nose runs, your eyes water and you beg for forgiveness for past indiscretions. They are just right.

Their honey coffee pour over is an additional treat. It is meticulously prepared and served by a Yucatecan barista with a smile and a laugh. Yucas are the best people on earth.
